Didn’t BI say something along the lines of “physically I’m there but mentally I’m not”

He has said that, essentially, he is healed but he didn't feel comfortable taking off and things like that. The implication in how he phrased it was that it was mental.

That is true. I can in fact do that if I want.

I haven’t said that though. I just said he got a serious concussion when someone tried to remove a loose eyelash from his cheek.

Christian Clark tweet:

Nothing new to report on Brandon Ingram, who did not practice. Willie Green said Herb Jones is a little sore but avoided serious injury.

That's great news for Herb. Sounds like he could play.

Are you positive Boston, with a game the next night against Brooklyn, will play everyone? Thinking they might rest a player or two.

I think teams typically rest all their dudes on the road and not necessarily home games.

Boston has laid some stinkers lately, including getting blown out by OKC without Shia.

Don’t let their early season games fool you

Given how this team has operated with contusions in the past, he will not play.

At least I'm confident that this one is actually a contusion and not a sprain

Lower back bruise, out until June

I think there are several teams that are more concerned with whether it’s a back to back rather than if it’s road or home. Wouldn’t surprise me if Boston split Horford and Williams in these two games. And even though Durant’s out, I think Boston would treat the Brooklyn game as the most important.

Feel like these geniuses are looking at the schedule and saying "we should be able to win this without BI"

And passing away games we need to win

yeah, this is how i feel about it too... and i fear some of these games that we dropped, where even a 90% BI could have swung it in our favor, will come back to haunt us tremendously

I’ve been as hard on the training staff as anyone since they got here, and I still “feel” they are being overly cautious, but we have had multiple injuries where once all of the info comes out and an actual medical expert weighs in, the treatment seemed appropriate rather than conservative. That includes this current BI injury where I posted comments last week from a doctor that analyzes sports injuries for a living.

I still have a disconnect between my head and my gut on this, but I’m starting to think my head is the one that is right and the training staff isn’t being overly conservative. We just usually don’t have enough information about the injuries or the medical background to make the judgements we’re making.

It pretty clear regular doesn’t mean as much as it used to. I think teams want to try to get home court in 1st rd and avoid the play in but I don’t think the rest of the seeding is as big of a concern as compared to health of the team.

Playoff teams want to be their “healthiest” come playoff time.

I really feel like most of the issue we have as fans with the injury situation is just that the team doesn't ever seem to give the outside world the full picture. Diagnosis is almost always vague, and the timelines are almost always way more optimistic than what is usually expected for the type of injury we later find out it actually was. Maybe this is necessary for competitive edge, but it really just feels like they are dropping the ball on transparency.
