Are Gayle, Lauscha, Loomis and Bensel delusional or indifferent

I really don’t know if they’re just completely lacking in self awareness and over confidence or just so old and rich they don’t give a frick anymore.
Maybe both.
The saints and pels are the worst run orgs in pro sports in decades. Pels are full on Donald sterling clippers at this point.
Saints are going to be the next browns.
There really is no hope until a change of ownership and that foursome is gone.

I think they’re open to selling the Pelicans at this point. I think the Saints you can chalk up to trying to keep the Payton team window alive. They’re at least rebuilding now.

Shamit has a good read on the situation. The way he puts it is they do legitimately care about the saints and want the Saints to compete and win championships.
When it comes to the Pelicans, they legitimately don’t care. The Griff era was them actually “trying”. They spent more money than they ever did, built a practice facility, etc.
Since that era failed, their approach is basically, “we don’t ever want to think/hear about the Pels again”. Dumars was hired to basically autopilot the Pels to bring the least amount of noise and attention to ownership

Yes and no on the Pels.

Yes I think they are just incompetent

Gayle is not indifferent to the Pelicans. She loves basketball and was the one who talked Tom into buying the team. However, she has no idea how to run a sports team so she puts her faith in Lauscha, Loomis, and Bensel who are indifferent and incompetent. I think that the incompetence of everyone involved is a bigger reason than indifference of why the organization sucks donkey arse.

Hasn't there been precedent where the league has stepped in and forced change in management if the team was dragging down the league and being obviously mismanaged likely on purpose?
It may be irrelevant as the league would likely force sale of the team to a new city before attempting to make NOLA a successful NBA city.

Unless that team’s incompetence benefited the Lakers.

All they care about is money. Look at the product on the floor. It speaks for itself.

Shamit is the biggest dumbass there is. Crazy how he still talk about the Pelicans.
If she didn’t care, she wouldn’t be going to the games.

I see the Cajuns logo next to your name.. They are 100% no different than the UL admin, in my opinion.
The little effort they put in goes toward season ticket sales, and then to selling tickets to resellers on StubHub, etc.
You cant watch this organization operate and think theyre doing anything beyond the absolute bare minimum necessary for the league to not take the team back

Interior decorator talks her husband into abandoning his entire family and, in one of his last living business decisions, to spend 9 figures on an NBA team that would ultimately become hers... and of course, it's now worth substantially more.
Oh yeah.. Gayle loooves basketball

I mean, that’s kind of the bare minimum, right? Going to the games when you live in the same town?
I think Gayle cares but she’s insulated by people gaslighting her into thinking there’s nothing to worry about. Last year the whole team was injured. Zion was never healthy and really never got serious but there’s no way that the franchise couldn’t have gone all in at the time. There’s tons of excuses for past failures and this whole season will get a pass because of the coaching change and injuries.
