Pelicans don't need anything right now. What they should do is acquire the best talent available regardless of position. Plenty of time to address positional needs later.
I mean, we could do worse..
He would be a guy that can give us 20 minutes a game until Zion takes over at the 5 for crunch time..
If we dont give up anything of value (talking like Hill and Moore for Adams), then sure..
His deal is expiring next season, so not like it's a long term thing

Bingo. Pelicans can acquire a serviceable big man in free agency with a friendly/short-term contract and not have to trade off the #4 for sub-par returns.

We won't be much of a player in FA this summer, and the class of 2020 is not good at all, so his contract wouldn't actually hurt the Pels that much. I personally wouldn't trade for him, but I would much rather him over Love.

Part of the issue with taking him is that they are trying to throw in a mid-20s draft pick as well.
Teams seem to be doing what they can to throw off picks in this draft, so I have no confidence we could move it for a future one if we tried.
I feel like Bob Sarver or George Shinn for treating a first like it is dog shite to be scraped off my shoe...
