lakers got a good player at 35. I still have no idea why Orlando sold them such a high pick (for a 2028 2nd and cash)

they’re still fricked, but frick Orlando too

No one has said the amount yet of how much the Lake Show paid for the pick.

Cash considerations are capped at a certain amount per league year, which has previously been north of $5m.

LA could have paid $1m for that pick. They could have overpaid and spent $2-3m if no one else was selling a pick for straight cash.

Eh, they seem to be doing a good enough job fricking themselves.

Guess I don’t need to gift Jeannie Buss a dildo.

We still control several Lakers first round picks, so them sucking is very directly beneficial to the Pelicans. Pay attention, fool.

you would think that HOU will waive all those guys they got for wood, plus obviously john wall (buyout). Burke and wall at minimum would play 20+ minutes for the lakers.

I think they’ll wind up with a full roster of legitimate NBA players unlike last year. Plus we might get to see wall and GOATbrook on the floor at the same time which would be good comic relief

Didn't JR completely freak up that play? Like he was blind or something? Cost them the playoff game?

Game 1 of the Finals, he forgot the score and ran out the clock thinking they were winning.

The Magic received 2.15 million in cash from the Lakers as part of a trade for pick #35. per
@EricPincus

Not really an overpay based on history and how high the pick was. I think that was the max the Lakers could pay (either the Lakers or Magic were maxed on the cash limits).

If Kyrie takes a $6 million deal to the lakers that will be a real screw job. Absent a Kyrie below market bailout I’m pretty confident in saying lakers pick next year is in lottery and likely in the 8-12 range again.

Kyrie taking pennies to go to the Lakers would be some BS.

I just don't think its going to happen but I guess you never know with Kyrie.

Kyrie also has a very high chance of sending the Lakers into a total spiral within two years.

Is this going off of a hope/prayer that the main 2 players are injured yet again and the world continues to crumble?? Or is this statement off of both being fully healthy

stawppppp.....

I just want to see a a fun NBA... my stance is pretty clear and I've said it before.... Pels 1st, LeBron 2nd if it ever came to it...

It rarely does, but the obsession of the Lakers especially with this fan base is getting that of similar to the Saints being salty over the Rams...

I understand sports, but sometimes it's hard to navigate for the small market guys and to wrap things that aren't offered here around stuff that is offered in bigger markets to bigger players.

I hope it all works out.... but it was a perfect world last year for that scenario to play out. If it happens again...great, but anyone that thinks a healthy AD and LeBron is anything less than a top 5 NBA team is fooling themselves.

But again..... when is AD ever healthy???

Anthony Davis has averaged 48 games played over the last 4 seasons and lebron has averaged 55 games the last 4 seasons.

Tell me how many games you think the lakers need from each of Lebron and Street cloths next seasons to finish top 10 in the west and then let’s discuss who is hoping/praying.

Now getting Kyrie clearly changed things. But otherwise the lakers are going to need it’s two stars to reverse clear career trend lines.

23-13, but I’m sure we can look at those 23 games they won and figure out the level of competition.

Can’t play the Kings, Rockets, Thunder, Pistons, etc, every night.
