I understand sports, but sometimes it's hard to navigate for the small market guys and to wrap things that aren't offered here around stuff that is offered in bigger markets to bigger players.
If this is true why aren't the NY teams winning left and right?
The Clippers history has been bad outside of the past 10 years.
Outside of one mickey mouse championship the Lakers have been one of the worst franchises the past 10 years.
The Pels have made the playoffs more times since 2014-15.

Depends on what cap year it counts against.
The max cash considerations as of now are about $5-6m a season each direction.

Some teams didn’t compete because they could make more by going cheap. Ex - Clippers pre-Blake.
The Knicks are just fricking incompetent and impatient.

but the obsession of the Lakers especially with this fan base is getting that of similar to the Saints being salty over the Rams...
Come on man the success (or more accurately lack of success) of the lakers directly impacts the pelicans and will continue to do so for several years. It makes sense a pelicans message board discusses the lakers right now.
In a few years this franchise will turn a lot of its attention the impending demise of the bucks for the same reason.

Leave Westbank alone. They are like Cowboy fans. The world revolves around their franchise. You leave logic and reason out of this and let that woman melt.

The obsession with the lakers is warranted AD straight up strong armed the deal and then never even had the decency to say goodbye like an adult. Just wore a shirt that said That’s All Folks. Because he’s an awkward, self centered douchebag injury prone POS. Pelican fans have every right to continue their hate with how that went down along with all the other big market teams bullshite we’ve dealt with including lonzo ball.

It's not even about Anthony Davis for me. I was honestly happy for him that he won his bubble title. I enjoyed watching him as a Pelican and actually appreciate when he did for us.
I just want the freaking picks.
That's why I now enjoy laughing at him and rooting for him to fail.

Yeah after 2024/2025 I won’t pay one but if attention to what happens there

After 2024, my interest in the Lakers likely comes down to pointing and laughing as they continue to struggle.
I no longer have a vested interest at that point but I would still get enjoyment out of it because the Laker organization and their fans are some of the most entitled frickers to deal with, similar to Yankee or Cowboy fans.

Everytime i even entertain the idea of being ok with him he talks and says something stupid.
He went into full bitch mode after losing to the pels. Excuse after excuse

So now that plan A: get Kyrie Irving to sign for $6,000,000 is out the window, anyone know what plan B is for the lakers to get 8 nba players on the roster for 2022-2023? Acquire John Wall?

Kyrie turned them down lol
Don't count out him going there in 2023-2024 for the MLE or something

Lakers will be a play in team.
If all three stay healthy them they win between 35 and 45 games. Pels probably end up with about the same pick as thus year.

But all 3 won’t stay healthy.
Probably better odds that pels win the finals this year than davis and LeBron playing a combined 100 games.

Next year is an unprotected swap with lakers, correct?
Posted on 6/28/22 at 6:58 am to MrJimBeam
Correct. And right now it feels like the Pels are in the Playoff Tier and the Lakers are in the Playin Tier, so the swap would probably happen. Not something we expected a few years ago.
