wanted Haliburton, still can’t believe he dropped that far.
he was fabulous at Iowa state and missed games injured.
same happened rookie year.
great.
then in a suit.
its understandable not to take him or next season trade for him as someone did.
he's wonderful when healthy.

Don’t want to start a new thread and not sure where to put this, so just gonna throw it here.
This morning on SXM Brian Scalabrine was asked by Frank Isola if he would trade Kyrie straight up for Jose, and Brian said yes he would (salary matching thrown out).
It’s great to know that LA made a trade for a guy that they will have to pay multiple 1sts to get off of, and we got an UDFA that media guys are saying they would trade a top 5-10 PG for.

There's no scenario, realistic or unrealistic, where I'd take Kyrie on the Pels.
Not for a 1st, not multiple 1sts. I just can't see any plausible scenario.

Looks like they are staying with Westbrick. It’s good for us this seasons pick but not for the future one. They will have nearly 50 mil open up in cap space from Westbrick coming off the books. They could sign Kyrie and still have space leftover.

No, they are currently a good bit over the cap. With Westbrook's contract dropping off (and assuming no other trades), the Lakers would have about $35 million available next season for free agents.

I just tuned in to ESPN Los Angeles radio right now, and the guy is saying is that the Lakers are simply struggling to make the adjustment from the Lakers being LeBron's team to Anthony Davis's team.
Once they make that adjustment, they'll be fine.

Lakers fans really pride themselves on being as delusional as possible.

I hope they do. He’s a team killer.

We are in good hands if it transitions to AD’s team. They will go from a guy who recruits contracted players off their roster to the guy who said “it’s not my place to tell free agents where they should go”.

Dang that's a random trade scenario. Crazy to see people think Jose has that much trade value, because as crazy as Kyrie is, he still has a lot of value. Pretty awesome, I've honestly never thought about what Jose's trade value would be.

With cap holds figured in as well?
They only have 3 guys under contract next season, plus their 1st round pick (if they don't trade him after the selection). So they have to sign at least 8 others..

Kyrie has little value because he is an expirerer. Brooklyn isn't going to give him up for scraps and any team that trades for him is going to have to accept his baggage and still risk him walking at the end of the year. The market for Irving is non-existent outside of the Lakers probably.

I appreciate that. Great resource.
They will have to do some maneuvers to really add anybody of consequence. Could they S&T Westbrook in the offseason? As bad as he has been, I still think someone would want to give him 8Mish next year..

They would have to renounce all their free agents including Westbrook to have any cap space, so a sign and trade of him would probably be out unless they can do it pretty quick.

Alright Fakeshow...do what you do best and lose.

Holy cow, this game is bad. There is 3:36 left in the first quarter, and the Blazers lead 17-14.
