One of the sports writers suggested that both Lauri and Oubre value their worth more than what teams are interested in paying. He said that the Spurs wanted Lauri in the Derozan deal, but Lauri wanted more than what the Spurs were willing to pay him. Instead the Derozan deal was done with other assets.

As fewer and fewer teams have cap space and roster space, some remaining free agents should be on the Pels radar. Hope that Griff will have some cogent plan. Wouldn't that be a refreshing change? Especially, if he can pull something off with free agent and/or good trade.

Honestly getting Jackson and Lauri at this point would fill needs and make this a pretty good off-season.

If we wanted Lauri and he was interested in coming here we just would have included him in the Lonzo sign and trade like we did with Temple especially with him being restricted

I mean, we can still add him to that deal, right? If Markkanen thought that he had another deal, and it didn't work out, maybe he rethinks his options.

Would be great to get both or even one of them, but watch them sign for the minimum to play for Clips, Lakes, Nets, Bucks or take the smaller MLE to play for quasi contenders such as Denver.

Tbh, both of these 2, especially Lauri bc he is young, should be looking for the Julius Randle Special at this point.

1 yr full MLE with a 2nd year player option to protect them in case of injury. Go ball out, opt out of year 2, and go get a bigger deal next year.

From what was signed/traded for this offseason, it seems after striking out on the big names, Griff is looking more at value with keeping flexibility. As we currently stand salary wise, if they don't take on anymore salary for next season, we are looking at having roughly 40 million in cap space, in what should be a pretty loaded free agent class, with very little cap space to go around. With that they may be able to entice a star player if Graham, Ingram, Zion show they can carry this team to the playoffs.

Is it too soon to consider Boogie Cousins as a versatile big option? I think his beef was with our old front office, not this one…

Could do worse for a 4th big…He offers more 3pt shooting and passing chops than Billy. He also offers a lot more in the head case/ technical foul department lol.

It's not happening.

I feel like Josh Hart is going to end up on the Jazz or Raptors.

I’d take some Boucher action for Hart or Ingles/Bogi/Royce Oneale action.

That’s a good point. Hart liked Gentry a lot more than he liked SVG and there is a 50% chance Gentry will be the interim head coach in SAC at some point this season.

And, honestly, a system that maximizes fast breaks is ideal for Josh Hart.

Interesting. Seems like Buddy is still extremely available.

Imagine the spacing with him and Graham on the floor with Zion.

Would be a fun lineup to watch. I'm all for just going for all shooting around our two stars.

My guess is that Pelicans and Sacramento are circling a deal but that the sides are working to get something done. Kings have some leverage and Buddy’s contract is bad. My guess is they’re trying to route Hart somewhere else and send draft compensation to Kings?
