Hate to bring it up, but does anyone thing Hield might hold some ill will towards the organization after we traded him midway through his rookie season? And maybe he is requesting to be sent somewhere else, but not New Orleans?
I know he seems like an easygoing guy on the surface, but he really isn’t. He is rather easily slighted and carries a pretty massive chip on his shoulder.
And yeah I know it was a different front office, but it is technically the same ownership group that signed off on the trade right?

Compensation aside, is it possible to acquire both Buddy and Barnes in the Memphis trade?
Cap wise, can they fit in the Memphis deal? Who would we have to send out to make the numbers work? That would fill our two biggest holes on the roster. Another starting caliber guard guard and a stretch 3/4. Re-sign Willy and call it an off-season.

UFA Danny Green (@DGreen_14) has agreed to return to the Philadelphia 76ers on a 2-year/$20M deal.
Green shot 40% from 3 this season on 6.3 attempts. Green had 1.3 SPG (t-career best) and 0.8 BPG after playing in 69 of 72 regular season games.

Alright sons, today’s the day.
Come on, Griff. Work those phone lines and find out who needs a little convincing.

Randle 4/117 extension. Geez.

How are the Pels in the conversation on Reggie Jackson? Is he only getting MLE level offers? That's the only kind of money we can give him. We have the MLE and via S&T with the Clips, they only have his Early Bird rights which allows them to give him a contract up to MLE money.

28 mil AAV, seems steep, but he did put up a ridiculous stat line on a playoff team.

Pelicans are t getting Hield. He is being paid too much and can’t play defense. They already found one cheaper in Devonte (who plays better D and is cheaper). Unless Sac offers a first or something, which I doubt. Pelicans are looking for a backup PF or a veteran PG first. Supposedly, Langdon really likes Reggie Jackson.

We aren't going to do anything, are we?

Devonte is not Hield.
You can say you don't like his contract all you want, but he's a top 3 3 point shooter in the league. He creates space just by running around. There aren't many people that can do that.
I would love to get Buddy back, but i'm not starting him, and i think he would have a problem with that, and if he does, then i don't want him. He could easily become a 6th man of the year candidate, and even playing off the bench, he should still be playing close to 30mpg. But if that happens, that probably means someone like Kira isn't going to get many minutes, and i'm not interested in that.
Getting someone like Bryn Forbes is the perfect solution. Great shooter, doesn't mind coming off the bench and knows his role, and won't take minutes away from Kira/NAW.
The biggest need is a legit backup 4, preferably a stretch 4. I'd be fine giving Lauri an inflated 2 year deal where he can opt out if he wants to next year.
and while i hate the idea of Kevin Love, he really would be an ideal backup 4 for us.

If no moves work out, how would people feel about:
Resigning Hart
Lauri at MLE (S&T, Chicago gets TPE)
Willy BAE. Done essentially.
Waive Gabriel and Iwundu

I'm trying to figure out Graham's shooting. In highlights he looks good, and he makes a lot of shots...but the 3 point and FT line are the only places where he shoots a good percentage. Does he just have horrible shot selection?

Forbes already signed. I don’t think Pelicans will pay a bench player 20 million if they’re looking for a starter right now.

LaMarcus Aldridge is looking to make a comeback and he would fit in nicely with what the pels need.

You bring in Hield he starts with NAW in the backcourt with Graham being the 6th man.
NAW / Kira
Buddy / Graham / Didi
BI / Temple / Naji
Zion / Stretch 4 / Murphy
JV / Hayes / Willy
Can go 3 guard lineups with NAW, Buddy, Graham playing BI and Zion at the 4 and 5
Ideally I want another
That's a playoff team but probably not a high seed

If he's coming back it will be for a contender. He probably wouldn't even return our calls.

Bulls, Bucks, or Nets is my guess

I think that this scenario would put us 5-10 games ahead of last season. That would put us solidly into the play in tourney, but not a 1-6 seed using last years results.
If we could have achieved this without using all of the draft capital that we had to use, I would give it a B. But, because we had to use draft picks to fix prior errors, I would grade it a C.
