Hopefully this deal unfolding was holding things up in other deals. That’s all I got left.

Yes, yes. We needed the behemoth that is Spencer Dinwiddie to choose his destination so everything else can start flowing.

If I’m reading right they didn’t get one. It’s a 2nd round pick swap.

Got to thinking, has there been another team that so publicly and epically whiffed on everyone of their targets in FA since the Knicks whiffed on LeBron? We have offered a shite ton of money to every top guard and couldn't even get anyone to the table.

I mean, that's basically been Dallas for the past decade. The one time they came close the Clippers basically tied up DeAndre and wouldn't let him leave.

Surprised but then not really, but of course no one in the media is talking about how the Celtics whiffed so far.

They tried freeing up money to resign Fournier but he goes to the Knicks. They traded for Josh Richardson and their only free agent signing has been to bring Kanter back

No one wants to play with Luka. I don't think other players like him, and they know that he won't pass them the ball. Dallas won't be an attractive destination until the Mavs are a real threat to win a title.

It’s a bit more than that when the same set of teams that is colluding against the have nots bends over to the big markets to send good players over to them for cheap

Seeing how ATL just signed Trae and Collins to huge contracts. They are most likely moving one of their SF

That makes it even stranger that Tim Hardaway Jr left almost $20 mil on the table to resign with the Mavs

There are still several good fits from players teams want to dump like Buddy or one of the wings from Utah. I assume we’re playing a game of chicken with multiple teams to see who blinks first on compensation.

I think that was just the next one leaving the station and we were hoping to sneak on board.
