The Los Angeles Lakers intend to waive Trevor Ariza and use roster spot to convert a young player prior to Sunday’s deadline to sign a player, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Open roster spot now provides flexibility to add to roster.
Getting rid of their vets?

Today is the last day to waive a guaranteed vet and to convert 2 ways to active roster I think.
I've seen a few teams do it today.

LeBron hasn’t been a top 5 player since he left Cleveland. You play both offense and defense in the game of Basketball. Giannis, Durant, Kawhi, Jokic, and Embid have been better.
I take nothing from LeBron as a great player, but the idea you can be considered top 5 while only playing one way is laughable. This is also BI and Zions bar for consideration in that category.

Warriors should beat the Lakers scrubs tonight yes?

GS wants to gain momentum and also avoid Dallas so they likely put in some work. Most of the Lakers are in Cancun but you have a few reserves playing for contracts.

Pels are basically locked(barring a 0.4% chance) into at least the 8th spot now with this Lakers loss.

Hopefully THT doesnt keep this up, might get his trade value back.

Rooting against the Lakers has been a fun little aside this season. Luckily we can keep doing it over the weekend as there is still an outside chance the Kings catch them for the 7th worst record and an even better Pels pick.

Lot of draft capital available, a month ago I thought the Pels were missing a microwave off the bench. However, Tre looks like he can develop into that role. I’m not overly impressed with the incoming class as difference makers. Maybe package picks and players for a high end talent to put Pels into serious contender class. Not giving up Herb, Jaxson or Murphy in a deal though.

Gobert probably too expensive, maybe Ayton, Capella, or Bamba.
* I’d lock in Jaxson sooner than later

Davis likely next
slink away into the shadows you fricking pussies. And don’t worry about sending a rep to the lottery, griff called shotgun already

He's not going to be eligible for the scoring title now, right? I wonder if Kareem calling him out made him change his mind.

I think being utterly transparent as to what he was doing and getting called out on it did the trick.
He is an utterly selfish prick yet wants to be seen as a great teammate and the GOAT.
Gaming the rules for a scoring title would have gotten him called out on a lot, especially since he would be doing this after elimination and only for just enough games to qualify.
Coming back to try and help your team out is a GOAT thing.
Coming back for just enough games to get a personal achievement and throwing the rest of your team under the bus in the process? Less so.

He is eligible. But His PPG is now 29.23. Which means he lost it.

He's not eligible, have to play 58 games, he's at 56 played.
