Scoring title really should be cumulative
The idea Lebron should even be in the conversation for the scoring title when he missed 30% of the season and is in the running on that technicality, should be enough to show it needs to change.

Westbrook was better without Lebron.
Trading him and adding oft injured Hayward doesn’t help a ton.
The reality is Lebron and Ruffles are declining players.
The Lakers minus a legit new star are only going to get marginally better at best.
There’s a legit chance this is Lebron’s last hurrah. The wheels fall off quicker than people realize at his age. Yes he still looks dominant offensively but he’s injured pretty much all the time now.
One bad one and his career is probably done.

Between all those deep playoff runs in Cleveland and Miami and a few Olympic teams, LeBron has a lot of mileage on him.
Of course, that won't stop the Knicks from signing him to a 4 year, $195 million contract next summer.

LeBron was arguably the most dominate offensive player this year.
The talks of his decline is ridiculous at this point. He may not be a top 5 player but he's still elite.
Also the Lakers with Bron and AD are always going to be a unfair FA destination. Players will take massive pay cuts to play with them/in LA.

You mean like this past off-season when a coach and multiple players passed on the chance to be associated with that front runner and his fluffer?

If he's no longer a top 5 player then he's in decline.

Still a top 5-10 player.
He averaged 30pts 8reb 6ast on 53 FG%.

Probably but could just be sitting the harder game of a back to back.
Stein said yesterday that LeBron told people before the game Tuesday that if they were eliminated he wouldn't play again this season, regardless of the scoring title.

Nevertheless he is declining and probably will more next year.

Baws, it looks like we found the Westbank Laker fan!

He's still elite offensively, but he's no longer playing winning basketball. Not really trying on defense, and not really trying to make his teammates better on offense.
Probably still 5-10, but I wouldn't be surprised if we're having a conversation next offseason about whether or not he's a top 25 player, and if it's a bad decision for a team to give him a max level contract (even for 3 years).

The Sporting Logically channel on YouTube did an autopsy of how the Lakers got from a title to here.
LINK
They called the 2021 offseason by the Lakers as arguably one of the worst ever because, in the guy’s words, they made every possible mistake they could make.

No one is taking massive paycuts to play with 38 yr old Lebron. 28, id entertain that. Lakers are about to have a real bad time
Posted on 4/7/22 at 3:40 pm to teke184
It was a matter of time, once the AD deal was made, for the Lakers to become stuck in a ditch. The RW trade just accelerated the timeline.

And David Griffin betted on that.
