Wall has played 40 games in the last 3 seasons and has damn near the same TS% as Westbrick while making $44 million. Yeah, that was the trade to put the Lakers over the top

getting a top 4 pick

I thought I read yesterday somewhere on here that if it’s top 4 it goes to someone else because of another trade.

I might need another breakdown

The Lakers are officially eliminated from play-in contention at 31-48.

With Wizards win tonight and Knicks win Sunday, neither can finish with 48 losses.

That means the Pels will have no worse than the 8th-best odds with the Lakers pick.

Pick has a 99.6% chance to go to NOLA.

Per Lopez pick cannot fall lower than 8th unless someone jumps it in the lottery.

The Lakers pick is ours. It’s all but guaranteed to be in the top 10 so we keep it. If it lands in the top 4 it’s still ours.

Our pick goes to Portland if we miss out on the playoffs. It goes to the hornets if we make the playoffs. If it happens to hit the lottery, top 4, we get to keep it. So there’s a small chance we keep both picks….

AHH I see now. I keep thinking of it as one pick and not that we have both ours and theirs. I is dumb.

We only have ours if we get extremely lucky and it falls in the top 4. The league would not be happy about us having two top ten picks I bet

AD played 40 games this season, half the year.

AD scored over 35 points this season exactly... 0 times.

Also nice to know we’re the ones that stepped on their neck and ended them…they went all in on that game

No no no.

It was just another game.

Technically, I don't think that's true yet. If the Lakers win out and the Spurs lose out, they would tie for 8th-worst and there'd be a coin flip, and the Lakers pick could be in 9th before the Lottery.

That's obviously not going to happen, of course.

Yes, that is correct.

We need the Spurs to lose out and the Lakers to lose at least one more game.

Also need less than 3 teams behind the Lakers jumping into the top 4

The chances of that happening are very slim, like 0.4%.

Can happen, shouldn’t happen. Far greater chance it ends up top 4 than 11th.

AD - “It’s a shame we didn’t see what this team could do if we were healthy, especially me.”

ESPN - “Even when you WERE healthy, you didn’t show up.”

Yea that would never happen but it’s entertaining to talk about though.

Nobody wants to hear this I know. And I agree.

But just for the draft nerds out there.

Letting the Spurs Wizards and Knicks finish above the Pelicans in record will give the Pels a 20% chance on another top 4 pick to go along with the Lakers pick.

You would miss out on the Home game and would have to lose the play in for that to happen though.

Currently we have around a 10% chance of keeping that pick if we lose the play in.

Hosting a home game is more important than a 10% extra chance at a 1st. But just putting it out there.

I guess selfishly since I don' live in town to get to the game, I'd prefer the additional 10%.

I'll be rooting for the Pels to win, but it'd be a nice consolation prize for SAS, WAS, & NYK to finish ahead of us in the ping pong ball race.

Imagine having two top 10 picks in this draft. Would be insane.

Also keep in mind losing the play in actually lets us keep our future Bucks 1st.

So there will be a win even if we lose the play in and miss out on the lottery.
