would love to see Davis rupture his Achilles early in the season, if LeBitch or Westbrook get a major injury that would be great as well. nah man at the end of the day it’s just a game As much as I don’t like them as players they have never really done anything bad enough to wish injury on them, that’s bad mojo

It's inevitable, though, especially if LeBron and AD are going to play this hard for this many minutes.

Wishing them on the supporting players or Westbrook is unbecoming.

AD and LeBron have earned that kind of treatment IMHO, given that they fricked over the Pels to try and force a fire sale of AD.

He still ended up where he wanted but that whole situation was a dumpster fire created by AD and Klutch, which is LeBron, and I don’t forgive or forget.

Mr. Glass keeps flopping to the floor and half-limping and holding his side. It’s like he is always looking for his next injury.

So, Dwight Howard got in a fight with AD last night in the middle of the game?

In their home opener last night, the Lakers lost to the Suns, 115-105.

Surprisingly to me, it looks like Westbrook didn't actually play badly in this one. He had 15 points and 9 assists to only 5 turnovers.

It seems to me that the Lakers simply lack good scoring options after you get past LeBron and AD. The only reason that this game against the Suns was close was that Carmelo got hot and went 4-6 from deep to give them 16.

Bazemore started again for the Lakers and scored 4 points and had 1 assist in 23 minutes. Like, seriously, you think that the Pelicans have problems at the guard position? Bazemore scored 8 in the opener at GSW, but he's now shooting 29% from the field in these two games.

How did the Lakers think that he was going to work out for them? Last season with GSW, he averaged 7 points per game, and that was when he was 31 years old.

And there other guard option is Malik Monk, who gives up way more than he gets. I didn't realize just how bad a defender Monk is, but he's terrible. Monk was -19 last night and was -10 against GSW, and he had a negative +/- in their preseason games as well, because he can't guard squat.

Back to the fight, though. Should I show you my shocked face? Are any of you surprised that Dwight is having trouble getting along with a teammate? Are any of y'all now starting to believe that we might get that pick after all?

Some people on Twitter laughed when I said the Lakers won't be good this year.

Everyone here thinks our roster is clunky (it's not, its just built around the one guy that's out), the Lakers probably have the worst roster in the NBA if you take out Lebron and AD.

I love the +/- stat. Always look at it and try to figure out what happened in the game.

The Suns are a tough team with a loaded backcourt. Westbrook didn't have a great game, 15/11/9 in 35 minutes with bad shooting. But he did have a +4. So they weren't losing with him on the floor..

Desmond Bane rolled into Lebron's leg/ankle and Bron was down for a little bit.

Looks like they cleaned his vag up enough where he can keep going though.

Very useful "relative" stat, in the long term. Can be quite deceiving...in the short term.

Lebron looks like his age is starting to catch up with him. AD is by far the best player on the team. If he goes down, they are screwed.

I think that pick has a better chance of being top 10 than we originally thought.

Pretty funny to see teammates split AD and Howard up, and everyone glaring at Davis like he was the bitch half

Barkley always calling AD "Street Clothes" is one of my favorite things in the NBA.

If we can't enjoy a Pels playoff run this season, I am happy to settle for watching the Lakers implode.

Tonight's game on the road against the Spurs is going to tell us a lot about the Lakers, because the Spurs are a below-average team.
