At the Staples Center with 2 minutes left, the Lakers are up by two over the Spurs. The Spurs, folks. Outside of AD and LeBron, the Lakers have nothing.

Edit: the Lakers held on, but Westbrook is washed, folks. We see it more every single day. Today was another 7-turnover day for him. He's going to pick up his player option for next season, and the Lakers are going to be dreadful next year, one of the conference's true bottom feeders.

They ended up winning, but it just further points out that when Anthony Davis is your best player, chances are your team isn’t going to be great. The Pels should’ve won more when he was here but you’re never going to come close to winning a championship if he’s your best player.

LeBron is back! Now the Lakers are going to start winning.

LOL, the Celtics disemboweled them and dropped 130 on them tonight. All 11 Lakers played who got into the game had a negative +/-.

All those old guys were bound to slow down later in the season as the grind wears on them---is that already happening? Are those old joints creaking too much when they try to slide their feet?

Westbrook was just such a terrible fit for that team

Similar to getting Steven Adams to put next to Zion.

Well, at least we didn't pay Adams $41 million per.

The plan was for Westbrook to go balls to the wall. Give Bron a break in the regular season. Problem is even at full strength early into the season before wear and tear starts to set in, they are not an elite team that can afford to coast during the dog days of March. Then they let their best perimeter defender in Caruso walk.

I think that the odds are about even that either LeBron or AD has another injury that causes them to miss at least three weeks. If that happens, then I think there's a decent chance that we end up with the pick. They have had an easy schedule and have a losing record so far. That is what it is.

does the lakers pick convey to pelicans only if its 1-10?
what if its 11th and lottery gives 11th owner the 2nd.

1-10 it goes to the Pels. That's based on what the pick actually is, if they end up 11th and get lucky in the lottery and get pick 2, then it's the Pels pick. If it stays at 11 then it goes to Memphis.

thanks.
lakers, the team i love to hate on.
so memphis hopes lakers are .500 (or better).
pels hope lakers are dumpster fire.
lakers hope both stars play and win at least enough to escape the playin, say 44.5w - 37.5L which looks like cusp area for 6th.

i dont want to guess the lakers record. no jinx.

I still think they’re likely going to win a ton of regular season games just due to top heavy talent. But they are soooo dependent on staying healthy to get too far into the playoffs. It will be just like last year where if James or Davis miss any time they’re in dire straights. James missed most of the regular season and they plummeted to the play in.

Glad to see a month later this was pretty accurate.

Wild scene here in Detroit where Isaiah Stewart, bleeding from his face from contact from LeBron James, repeatedly had to be separated from James and other Lakers players.

Haven't seen the incident but here's hoping LeBron had enough contact with them to get a suspension too. Also, this is a sign of a team buckling under the pressure. Lakers are currently down 15 to the Pistons in the 3rd quarter.

I don’t really like any of these guys, but it’s a bit much to wish career altering injuries on them. Gotta be better than that my dude. That’s probably going to result in some shitty arse karma tbh.

Agree. I want them to have nagging injuries that make them ineffective so the team has a bad season.

C'mon, man. LeBron could probably sucker punch someone and lay him out cold on the floor and the league wouldn't suspend him.

Lakers have cut the deficit to 3 with about 8 minutes left in the game. The Lakers truly suck this year, but they are still better than the Pistons.

[Edit] The Pistons had a shot with 3 seconds left to send it to overtime, but AD stole the ball. If you want to know how bad the Pistons suck, you should know that Frank Jackson played 25 minutes for them in this game.

Lakers won by 5. Outscored the Pistons 37-17 in the 4 quarter.

Westbrook looked to have a solid game, 26/9/10 with only 3 TOs (+8).

I think this is how they are going to be all year. Win one, lose one. Good games, bad games. Over 30 and under 50 wins. That pick is gone..
