Great tune. I was fortunate enough to see D&C 3 or 4 times during the peak of their popularity in the late 80's. Living so far away from the SE now, I can still get homesick listening to it.

Been thinking about this for a little while now and can't come up with a solid answer. I'd like to think the answer is some cool tune from my past that I put on repeat. But in reality, the answer is probably some commercial, a hymn from church or the theme song from some TV show...

And while I'm sure I've listened to the entirety of other songs more times than the entirety of this one, I'm sure that I've heard portions of this one hundreds if not thousands of times.

I think it's probably "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

I know for just about absolute fact what it is and it's not voluntary. If we are talking voluntarily, that's a different tune. The answer is Maggie May. That damn song crosses over to just about any format and still gets played.
If we are talking what song I have chosen, it's probably

Whiskey Before Breakfast
by Norman Blake
First real song to learn on guitar. Not the first to learn. Nor in the 1st dozen. Nor truly ever satisfied with. And why the most listened.
Was new music, coming from 70's rock, so nothing was easy like those were. Also because you immediately played with others. Not so with John Prine solo was fine.
( Lesson for the students)

I tend to like live music, to me it really shows how good a band is. And in particular the lead guitar. that's why if I want something to pick me up, put me in a good place it Ten Years After at Woodstock
