Don’t see how it could be anything other than “Keep Me In Your Heart” from Warren Zevon’s “The Wind” album…
Made the album on his death bed and it was released 2 weeks before he died. Doesn’t get more emotionally devastating than that with the final sone being about him asking not to be forgotten.

This entire album is about the helplessness and isolation of heroin addiction. The lyrics of the songs as the album progresses show the writer making an attempt to get clean. The album closer is about relapse, starting the entire closed loop of addiction over again.

Yes, “Miss Misery” is a technicality. It was only included as the closing track on XO after the fact on the deluxe edition. I decided to include it because I felt that a technicality could be overlooked in an effort to provide STigers with more emotional devastation.

I just got finished with that new biography on him, Nobody Broke Your Heart..
So of course I have been listening to all of his records again and 90% of his songs are emotionally devastating...
