What do you feel is the most perfectly crafted song of the rock era?

I thought about asking "what is the most perfectly crafted pop song?" but I didn't want the thread to get bogged down over arguments about whether particular songs are or are not "pop" music. So I decided to broaden the question, and for the sake of discussion we will define the rock era as beginning in 1955 and continuing to the present.
After some consideration I will offer "Head Over Heels" by Tears for Fears as a contender.

Something from Jeff Lynne's catalogue, likely.
Mr. Blue Sky is as good a representative as any.

This song always comes to my mind as being the best song I’ve ever heard based on my generation and my personal music preferences.
The song is so well written and the melody and harmony of the music is perfection.
Billy might not be the best live singer but his recorded voice is unique and damn good.
Mayonaise
And it’s off of one of the best Albums ever- top to bottom

Not my favorite...not the best...but it is perfectly crafted.

Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel
There is not a thing I’d change about that song.

At the time it was recorded, I would have to say Stairway To Heaven. Even 50 years later the song still sounds great.
And it was certainly crafted well thanks to Jimmy Page.
