What bands did you listen to in high school?

Interested to see what everyone listened to in high school. I'm sure there's a wide range of ages among posters. For context, I graduated high school in 2007.
I like to think I have better taste in music now but I was really into pop-punk bands (embarrassing). Several of these I still listen to though.
Hot Rod Circuit, Hawthorne Heights, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, AFI, Something Corporate, Underoath, A Thorn for Every Heart, Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, Bayside, Bright Eyes, Cartel, Coheed & Cambria, Death Cab for Cutie, Fall Out Boy, The Format, John Butler Trio, Hidden in Plain View, A Change of Pace, Saves the Day, Senses Fail, Silverstein, The Starting Line
In hindsight, most of those were pretty terrible but I liked them at the time. Several of them are still putting out new music.

Going back and listening to the lyrics makes me cringe these days. I actually did enjoy Jack's Mannequin (spin-off of Something Corporate)

Late 90's for me.
I split in 3 major categories. Rap, rock and stuff my parents exposed me to at home.
Rap: 2Pac, DMX, Jay Z and Outkast for me. I knew a lot of people who were into No Limit, but I never really got into it other than Mystikal.
Rock: Everclear, Live, Unwritten Law, Less Than Jake. Yeah, that dates me.
At home, I heard a lot of Al Green, Paul Simon and Marvin Gaye. I always liked artists like that, so it wasn't like rejecting my parents stuff.

Ours was a mixture of late 90s early 00s alternative and classic rock (as varied as that seems). I feel like our era saw a classic rock resurgence (not new bands, just revitalized interest in old ones). We all wanted to live out Almost Famous. We bought vintage beat up teles and played Orange amps (which were making a comeback in the late 90s).
As for then-current stuff, 311 may have been the most popular band among my crowd, it seems like half our class would be at every show in the area. We were pretty big on Oasis. I was a devoted Everclear fan at the time. In Georgia, Butch Walker and Marvelous 3 were huge, so we went to a lot of his shows.

Late 80s / early 90s indie rock. I listened to a lot of the smiths and robin hitchcock. My friends listened to a lot of metal / heavy rock, so I did too when I was with them.

Our options were limited in the Paleolithic Era. I did listen to The Beatles and other English bands. But I also listened to CCR. and some relatively obscure U.S. bands like The Standells (Dirty Water).
We also listened to some popular La. bands like The Uniques and John Fred. And to some extent, The Boogie Kings with their South Louisiana soul.
oops, I forgot to mention soul artists like Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett. we dug those guys a lot.
