One of the last remaining rock stars to enjoy a bit of commercial success without selling out.

I really enjoyed the first 2 or 3 records when they came out... I can't think of the last time if pulled them out though...
Ive never really listened to the raconteurs or dead weather (gf likes them)

The racounteurs is my favorite of his projects. Don't really care for the dead weather at all though. When I listen to a jack white record I want to hear him singing and playing guitar not him behind a kit

Not a big fan of the Ranconteurs, but the Dead Weather is f'n awesome. I think White's legacy is already secure, given that he was the modern guy chosen for Play It Loud. He's the last commercially successful traditional rock god. Which sort of makes him radical, as no one else is doing what he does anymore, at least not in Top 40 Land.

I've been a fan for a while now. The Racounteurs don't do much for me, but the Dead Weather is a real favorite.
The only thing that I can't understand is what his beef with the guy from the Black Keys is. Why would he hate the guy so much that he didn't even want his kid going to the same school?

I dig his stuff with his Peakcocks and Buzzards ensembles.

I've only really listened to White Stripes, but I'm a fan
De Stijl is a hell of a fricking album

Jack White and Trent Reznor are the best freaking musicians on the planet.
I think Jack White's greatness will be realized down the road by most. The dude is a master.

Jack White is one of the greatest musicians of his generation. If you listen from his stuff starting with the Stripes and how it evolves over time…it's amazing. Dude is a lyrical genius, too. And he has such a great appreciation of the past, especially the blues. His project with Paramount getting all of those old Blues albums into digital format is so damn awesome.
Can't wait to see him in a few weeks

Very excited for the show at the Saenger in a few weeks. The only capacity I've seen him in was a White Stripes show back in 07 that fricking rocked

I'll give them a listen, my GF likes them, but I think its because she is a big fan of The Kills (going to see them at HOB in a few weeks).

Wife has two tickets to see him in Shreveport. Trying to decide if it's worth the 10-hour roundtrip drive, though.

I don't know if we can discuss his legacy yet. He's still rolling.
