Rap - not really music, just bad poetry
Country - Cheesy
Christian Music - Cheesier
Raggae - All sounds the same. The quarter beat upstrokes bore me.
Blues - Kind of boring. I find it playing hard stuff just for the sake of showing off. Melodies are lame, no hooks.
Heavy Metal - Not usually melodic
Light Rock(anything on 96.1) - Really annoying

Anything else I left off?

In the name of Tim Tebow. I agree with some. but damn.

I can handle a few, but rap in general as a genre is a joke to me. How people can listen to it constantly blows my mind. When people try to tell me that a rap artist is more talented than a musician (not referring to shite bands like Nickelback) I want to pull my hair out. I understand it is opinion, but even I can make rap if I tried. I make beats and samples on my computer all the time just messing around. I can appreciate good lyrics and beats, but that is just rare finds. Live rap music with the hype-man, just don't get it.

you = me. Rap is silly as frick. So vain and immature. Only rappers I like are Immortal Technique and SPM because they're really smart guys with messages.

I can't get into the screamo shite either

I went a bit overboard in that post, I would be an awful rapper. A good bit of that is my honest opinion though.

I can't do ANY of the heavy stuff that screams and grunts at me the whole time. I really don't get the appeal. I'm open to someone trying to explain it to me though.

Yup. I can find some things I like in most all genres except for this crap.

Well you just popped off just for the sake of popping off and all you did was show your lack of music knowledge. Completely ridiculous statement.

Modern r&b or slow jams. I just think it's terrible. I love old soul, but the new stuff is just uninteresting and whiny with no groove.

Bottom line is blues and jazz take real talent. Hip hop takes some cheesy rhymes and beats.

So what do you think of Guru's (RIP) Jazzmatazz albums?

You know, since you know so much about hip hop...
