See, and other than one truly evil exception, I find that every genre has its charms. It might not appeal to me, but I can usually listen to it in small doses unless we find a subgenre so small it only encompasses something like five bands.

Was going to say this exactly. I pretty much abondoned mainstream country within the last couple of years. I do think Zac Brown provides hope though (Colder Weather)

I'll add that as soon as I'm out of my going out and partying stage (almost there) I will abandon rap forever. For now though, I enjoy the shite out of it when those asses start popping late night.
FTR, I agree very little musical talent is needed to make it big time in the rap game. I think there are some wordsmiths out there that deserve respect, but not even close to the same level as someone who can actually play an instrument
