Kings X digressed more than any other band (not named Metallica) in recorded history.

couldn’t agree more.
though it’s long gone the lineup for uplift mofo party plan could actually play funk hooks that sounded new. I can play that album just about any time and enjoy it

Here's another one: RHCP is not terrible when they stick to their funk rock roots, but with the single exception of "Under the Bridge," their ballads are crimes against humanity. Any time Anthony Kiedis takes a breath and attempts to actually sing, the world becomes a sadder, darker, less welcoming place.
Nah. If anything, it's the opposite. Soul to Squeeze and Wet Sand are their two best songs.

Rush has excellent music and musicianship, but Geddy Lee's voice is grating to me.

I'm also a hypocrite because I like Robert Plant's voice.

He is one of those odd people who have exceptional control of their voice, but their voice just isn't very pleasant to listen to. Billy Corgan is another.

70's Geddy Lee is outstanding. Post 1982 Geddy, not so much.

I'm not a huge Rush fan, but I love some of their stuff and the writing.
The songs are Orwellian stuff, what other type of voice would you do it with?
Might be interesting for a good baritone country singer to cover Red Barchetta.
Make some slight changes so he could have his hound with him.

I like Rush.

A lot.

I can't tell you exactly why other than when I listen to them, they sound awesome!!!

I like 70's rock Rush. I like 80's synth Rush, and I like 90's pop Rush. It's all great to me!!!

Their last album is a perfect Rush album. It's an homage to their sound throughout their career.

I don’t agree but she was incredibly talented and beautiful and I’m just learning that she died in 2018 age 46. RIP.

Chris Cornell's voice sucks. He is trying way to hard and sounds like he is about to pop a blood vessel or get a hernia when he sings.

Of all your bad takes on here, this one may be your best
