Got tkts for Isbell this summer in Niagara falls ny, really looking fwd to the show. His music is wonderful and guitar playing is great. Got great seats at a good price in ny rather than going to Toronto where similar tkts are 3x as much. Toronto is stupid expensive

The new Jason isblm album is great. My favorite songs are “I love eating bugs” and “my wife’s son”

I thought this board hates Isbell because he made a political comment they didn't like.

I would never go see him. Not so much about his politics (granted it's similar). Wife does marketing/PR for a venue and it's one he demanded they provide covid testing 2 days before his show. They couldn't logistically do it in that time frame for the thousands of people coming and he took to twitter and bad-mouthed them with completely false info. In the grand scheme, it's a little thing, but knowing what the wife had to deal with for days on such a BS issue.....I just can't give that guy money.

Completely justifiable reason not to support him.

I liked him better when he was fat and drunk with DBT.

I can generally separate a despicable person from their music, but his music is just not good enough for me to make the effort.

I bet he was literally shaking that y’all couldn’t protect him during the deadliest pandemic in human history. Luckily he was sextuple vaxed and his wife’s bf let him borrow 2 n95s to play the show in

Like everyone else, I dropped him over the last few years because I was sick of his opinions.

I'll say this though, recently listened to Southeastern for the first time in a few years and god damn is that an amazing album

Changing your entire MO to incessantly, loudly inundating your woke political views to your fan base when they didn’t ask for it =/= making a political comment
