How often do you listen to an album from beginning to end?

Not many digest their music this way, almost everyone has a playlist and skips around.
I’ve been making it a point to listen to albums lately all the way through and it’s been fantastic.

All the time. I have tons of jazz and other records that I enjoy listening to the way the artist put them together. I also listen to lots of albums that are put together to be listened to in a particular order like The Trip and Late Night Tales series.
But then again I'm weird and maintain a very large collection of music and mostly avoid streaming services.
With Plex I get aural music matching (scans so your music for similar styles, etc) and do listen to certain genres on random or artist radios.
Damn I love plexamp.

First listen, every time.
After that, I usually put it on shuffle for most albums.
Very few albums are like Red Headed Stranger.

90% of the time.

That is pretty much the main way I listen. I typically listen to 6-8 albums throughout a work day assuming I don’t have many meetings.

Never, and never plan to again.

I have different modes depending on situation. Interesting to think about the different way I approach it.
1) At home it's mostly on my 2 channel system, and albums. This is where I tend to be more focused and have time to appreciate a full album.
2) In the car, it's mostly playlist or "radio" based on an artist/genre. That's a little dependent though on which streaming service I have available. The free service my car has doesn't do albums so it isn't a choice. I don't have Spotify regularly, but when I do I occasionally use it for playing a full album.
3) Mobile via phone, it's more of a mix.

First listen only. Only way to judge an album. After that I skip around.

Every single time I start a new record I listen to it a few times to get to know it thoroughly. If I like it then it's usually a full through listen when I play it. If not then I throw the songs I like into my generic "liked" playlist for those times when I just want random songs to play.

That is primarily the way I listen to music... usually, at home on the turntable...
I very rarely listen to digital formats... I prefer podcasts/audio books when commuting, gym, etc
When I am very rarely in a car, I usually just skip around on Sirius...

I wish I did more. I've got so many tapes and CDs, but once torrents came about and now the ease of using Spotify to catalog virtually everything I ever had plus everything I've ever wanted, it's hard not to just use my playlists.
Listening to albums used to be what we did while taking a country dip and burning one or hanging out. I've got a record/8 track console I need to get repaired and start buying records and just sitting back on a Saturday and just listen.

I will listen to at least an album, usually two or three while piddling around on Sunday morning.
Usually driving, I will create a playlist with a few albums on it for road trips.
Around town or by the pool it's always a playlist.
