Unless it just came out…never.

I listen to an album beginning to end almost 100% of the time when I’m not listening to a playlist. I usually only do playlists for parties.

Often, almost every trip home I listen to an album all the way through. One weekends, I’ll often put on an album when I’m grilling outside.
Popular choices lately:
Use Your Illusion II
And Justice For All
Master of Puppets
And on late night trips, Dark Side of The Moon or The Wall.
Hey, I’m old. Leave me alone.

I will listen to an album for a week or more. It is how to put yourself in that studio for the vibe and thinking of how the A/B side was selected and the album order. So cool to try to get into the artists' heads.

Pretty regularly - one of the things I love about collecting vinyl.

I almost always listen to complete albums: at work, on the road, at home.
And actually, I prefer to listen to the original album recording, as released by the artist. I don't like re-released albums with bonus tracks or alternate takes. I prefer the original album as a "snapshot in time." I rarely seek out the bonus tracks. There's a reason they weren't good enough to be included on the original recording. When physical media had limitations, only the artist's best tracks made the cut. There are a few hidden gems here and there, but they seem to be rare.
The only time I'll listen to a playlist is at the gym, or on a longer road trip with passengers along for the ride.

I’m the same way, I never mess with a special edition or re release, it’s always the OG record.

Lately, about half of my listening is albums. Made it a point to start doing it a couple of years ago on long drives and have really enjoyed it.

That’s one of the annoyances of streaming services: you’re usually getting remastered or alternate versions if they exist. I don’t know why.

Apple Music is pretty good about it, I just switched over to them from Amazon Music. Amazon offers all kinds of special edition bullshite.

Yeah, it’s probably Amazon on Alexa that I’m thinking of.
