Tainted Love - Remake by Soft Cell

Both rocked. Aldo Nova was big in Canada being from Montreal...and really, he was more of a producer. He was quietly pretty influential in rock music production throughout the 80s and 90s.

West end girls - the Pet Shop Boys

Pet Shop Boys were huge in the 80s: What Have I Done to Deserve This?, Opportunities, West End Girls, Its a Sin, Always On My Mind. Devo while only breaking into the top of the charts with Whip It and Working In a Coal Mine had several very popular songs that made it into movies etc.

That album was good.
There isn't a bad song on Vivid. In addition to what's already been mentioned, you got Middle Man, Funny Vibe, What's Your Favorite Color?, and Memories Can't Wait, which is a cover of a Talking Heads song. Extremely talented band with Vernon Reid, Muzz Skillings,(later Doug Wimbish) and Doug Calhoun. I ended up with a piece of Muzz's t-shirt from the '91 show. He dove off the stage and it got shredded. Maybe five hundred people at the show. Small venue, hot asf, loud and funky.

Your Love - The Outfield.
Another band that isn't a one hit wonder. Had eight songs in the Billboard 100 and two top 20 albums, one of them a top 10.

Not a huge fan of the band but a-ha had the hit "Take on Me" with a somewhat groundbreaking video. There was also the Outfield with their "Lose Your Love Tonight" which received a lot of play on MTV.

Type on Time’s Up is a great song that is often overlooked.

They were not a one hit wonder. Rick Springfield arguably was, so Jesse’s Girl.
I was a hardcore metal/classic rock guy back in the day but Rick Springfield was a guilty pleasure and the females loved him. He had some great pop songs.
