For me, Metallica. Never could get into them.. doesn’t help Sirius plays them constantly on Octane and Turbo. Have to change it every time.

I like 90% of the bands mentioned in this thread. Almost every one of them has a few songs that I like. Some mentioned have a lot of songs I like. But I just love music in general. Probably have the most diverse catalog of anyone I know. Every genre over the last 70 years well represented but always excited to hear modern stuff that is great as well. A few that I have gotten into lately are reggae genre. Stick Figure and The Elovaters. I really like some of Gary Clark Jr. and Whiskey Myers songs as well. Somehow missed out on Tab Benoit until about 4 years ago but I love watching his concert videos and have seen him live several times. Good music is just good. Some artists have one or two songs that I love and 100 others that do nothing for me. Van Morrison is a good example. Jackson Browne is another. Steely Dan is one that I like 80% of their music. I don’t think there is a band out there who has charted over the last 70 years that I just hate. But this from a guy whose playlists range from Faron Young to Tito Puente to Arlo Guthrie to Danzig.

That band Creed was really bad.

311 makes the cut, and Limp Bizkit has aged very poorly.

ICP because their popularity has been taken to another level by their fans dressing up and acting crazy. To them it's a lifestyle. They live it everyday. Almost cult like.

Really? You never understood Metallica's popularity. shite, I never could get into Maiden, but I definitely get why they were huge.

They had two songs I like. None of the others do anything for me.

Any band that has been around for less than 25 years. That is how long modern music in all forms has sucked absolute arse.

Radiohead, nowhere near as popular as they should be

Not my cup of tea but I get it. I do own a copy of Downward Spiral because Adrian Belew is on it. It’s a very good album but I haven’t listened to it in years. Haven’t sold it, though, because I’m sure I’ll be in the mood to listen to it again at some point.
I think Trent Reznor can legitimately be described as brilliant at least, and as a genius at best. Have you heard his contributions to the soundtrack of Ken Burns’ Vietnam documentary? Perfect (the whole soundtrack was magnificent). I’m a child of the 80’s and an old Deadhead who listens mostly to music from the 60’s and 70’s, and also jazz going back to the 40’s. But for music that’s totally out of my wheelhouse, NIN gets my seal of approval.

God damn right I am. Here is the list of bands I listened to growing up. Name one band today worthy of being an opening act for them.
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Queen
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Rolling Stones
The Who
Allman Brothers
Skynyrd
Van Halen (original high octane Diamond Dave version)
ZZ Top
Aerosmith (original coked out 1970s version)
Cheap Trick
ELO
Wings(Beatles actually were before my time)
P-Funk
Earth, Wind, and Fire
The Ramones
The Clash
The Sex Pistols
Little Feat
They all beat the piss out of the shite that passes for music today.

311. Used to love them, but as an old man, I realize Nick’s range and lyrics are just sad.
Also, love NIN with a passion, but the older I get, the more I become aware of just how bad of a singer Trent is.

After reading this thread it's almost as if the bands you grew up with are the bands you like.
