Anyone been to a concert in a foreign country?

I'm going to be in Mexico City in September and noticed Iron Maiden has a show there. Never been to a Maiden concert or a concert in a foreign country. Might as well kill two birds with one stone.

South American Maiden shows are known for being off the hook. Enjoy.

Maiden had footage of one of their Mexico shows on its Flight 666 film where it shows them travel all over the world & Bruce is the pilot in their plane. The crowd is insane. Much wilder than anything you will experience in the States. Any big time performer will tell you that crowds in Central & South America are on another level.

This is true. If you can ever see a show in another country, do it for the experience. Like in most European countries (well, back in the day) there were not too many mosh pits, but European crowds do a lot of hopping instead of moshing. Might have come around over the last 25 years, but the point is to enjoy shows with different cultures. Maiden in MC is likely going to be a very different experience than you had had seeing them in the states. Enjoy the show!

Yes. Get ready for a lack of air conditioning if it’s inside.

Scream for me Mexico City!

Yea, a bunch, but usually at smaller venues such as the Melkweg in Amsterdam. I did get a day pass to the Roskilde festival outside Copenhagen which was fun.

Mexico City isn't a hot city to begin with. It's also at altitude (7200+ feet). If it's outside I'd be wanting to make sure I have a jacket as it is likely to be pretty cool at night.

Moody Blues at Albert Hall London 1999

You're not going to need a jacket at a general admission show with tens of thousands of people in attendance.

Depends on the person. Average low in September is 53 and it could be cooler than that.

Matthew Sweet at a tiny club in London in the early 90s.

Saw Kent twice in Stockholm, phenomenal shows.
I was studying in London for Oasis's Familiar To Millions show, but couldn't afford tickets. Huge regret, should have just gone into debt.

I got to see Mew in Vancouver, but I'm not sure Canada counts.
