713 Music Hall. Sept 30th Big LA band back in the day. Ian and Billy still around doing their thing. Ian always a good front man. Did vocals touring with The Doors a few years back. Billy still playing strong!
One of my favorites:

September 29 at the Fillmore in NOLA.

They are one of the only 80s 90s bands that is still putting out original music. They don’t look to put out music for the masses. They put out good music that their following love and appreciate. They are still true to themselves and that goes a long way.

Been on a Cult kick lately. Loved them back in the day. But I think they are British no?

Yes they are British! Should clarify when said LA should have said Los Angles!!

I have tickets to the NOLA show. They are good live. Electric is a top ten rock album.

If you were at that concert do you remember how it began?
AC/DC on pre-concert.
Girl in black dress dancing seductively.
Takes off bra and throws to crowd.
Lights go off.
Guy comes out and screams into the mic
"Jackson, MS THE CULT!"
It was awesome.

That's going to be news to all of the people in England where The Cult got its start.

For a deep cut that you may not be familiar with, check out In the Clouds on Spotify (or whatever else you use). One their best that was never on a popular album.

Ian astbury produced his album that year. Axl Rose sang on a track, current Cult drummer at the time was Mickey Curry who played drums on the album and Billy Duffy played on a couple of tracks.
When they opened for Metallica they opened with The Phoenix in Houston. So badass. Steve Jones joined them on Wildflower and I want to say they actually played a Steve Jones tune I Did You No Wrong. I have faint memories of that.

Figured they would play some new material on this leg of the tour in support of the new album.
Saw them in Lake Charles at the Golden Nugget earlier this year, and it was one of their best performances I've seen. The band really seemed happy and enthused to be playing live back in front of the fans... even Ian!
Set list from Lake Chuck:
Sun King
New York City
Automatic Blues
Sweet Soul Sister
Soul Asylum
Edie
American Horse
Aphrodisiac Jacket
Lil Devil
Peace Dog
Wild Flower
Revolution
Rain
She Sells Sanctuary
Love Removal Machine
Encore:
Rise
Fire Woman
