Are me and the other guy the only ones who loved Downfall or have that many people not seen it? Thought it was excellent.

Shame on me for not having seen Pan's Labyrinth then. I quite liked Cronos too.

Don't worry about it. Plenty of great movies I haven't seen, but plan to.

You must have missed my earlier post or just thought it isolated. I also deliberated to include Story of Qiu Ju or not. I did love Hero too but I didn't want' to Zhang overload.

Seven Samurai is probably the second greatest movie ever made. Maybe third.

The Hidden Fortress is probably my second favorite Kurasawa film so I'd have it as the second best overall.

M is fantastic

City of God probably being my favorite semi-recent. In The Mood For Love is a lesser know one, but very good.

And if you've been on here enough or have seen me in similar threads then you know how much I love Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and The House of Flying Daggers. Crazy about both of those just because how unique they are.

The end of that movie ruined it for me. It should have just ended 10 minutes earlier. The 'metaphor' was weak enough that it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

It was the lamest ending I'd ever seen until I saw High Tension.

I absolutely hated Pans Labyrinth. Thought it was stupid. Blast away......

It happens. I was underwhelmed by "Battle of Algiers", "Persepolis" (which I don't believe has been brought up in this thread), and "Let the Right One In." Definitely didn't hate any, but I don't get the praise.
