For those who are already watching, do yourself a favor and re-watch Episode 4. So many reactions and lines from various characters are completely transformed once you know the reality of what's happening at Patricia's cocktail party.

I’ll be doing a rewatch for this.

Pay attention to the crowd, specifically the four women, when she is dancing to Rhythm of the Night.

Wife and I got caught up on this one last night, this show is so fricking good. Last episode was the best episode of TV of the year so far IMO.

The antler headpiece and all of the stick arrangements made me immediately think of season 1 of True Detective.

I laugh a lot watching this show but it is also so fricking creepy.

I also wonder if Wyck is Tom’s father in law and they just haven’t revealed that yet?

Lost it when he said that. Show has been really good so far. Wife and I are thoroughly enjoying it.

This show is great. The black outs to push through an episode felt original then close it out with 311, nice

Another outstanding episode. Less horror and more comedy in this one, but I’m not complaining. Rhys really showed his comedic chops. Patricia putting him on a leash was probably my favorite part.

Looks like we are getting two episodes next week and a total of ten for the season.

That’s definitely the boogie man right? Ate a bunch of shrooms and killed those girls?

A little more humor, but only because Ep. 4 had zero. I can’t wait to see how this comes together- right now, I have less than no idea

Rhys on the leash was hilarious. The way it ended the next episode has to be a continuation of this one. Glad to hear we are getting two episodes next week.

I almost choked laughing at the Reverand's memorial

Speaker: I knew Reverand as he came to the shop I got him coffee. Or maybe I did. I don't know. I don't think I really knew him

Host: Just a reminder that speaking at the memorial is not mandatory

The episode was hilarious, but I'm not entirely sure what the point was as it didn't move the plot forward very much.

Was it in episode 1 where they did like a camera pan to a locked room several feet underground?

I feel like that had to be the boogey man’s tomb, no?

I suspect one of those episodes will be a retelling of this episode from Patricia’s/Wyck’s POV to fill in the gaps.

The flashback to his wife’s hospitalization was interesting. She was on the ferry when she lost her sight so.. she left the island and then died (presumably)? I wonder if she was intentionally trying to give birth on the mainland. And now their kid can’t leave the island because they really did turn the ferry around? Assuming the curse is real, anyhow.

ETA: Also, were we supposed to know who that was in the opening scene crawling through the snow? They were obviously eating the same mushrooms but I wasn’t clear on whether that was some mysterious flashback or someone I was supposed to recognize.

It would have been a flashback, person looked like they were wearing colonial era clothing to me, though it was blurry. My best guess is it was whoever had written the journal or whoever the journal was written about that Wyck was researching the whole episode.
