I think Once Upon a Time in Hollywood doesn't fall in the same category as the others as he's purposefully creating an alternate ending. He's not trying to push it off as a true story.

I know it definitely follows the same type of plot but back in the day I really enjoyed the movie The Faculty. It was entertaining for what it was and had prime Famke Janssen in it.
