I saw all three LOTR movies opening weekend. Actually went with my Mom and Dad (they were in their 60s, and had been divorced for decades, but wanted to see them with me for some reason).

Empire Strikes Back. Would have loved the reaction to the reveal.

I never saw any of the The Lord of the Rings movies in the theater. Would love to find a theater that would show all three over a weekend.
The Last Waltz is one that I'd love to go back to 1978, and see in the theater.
Not a great movie, but I think Lawnmower Man would have been a great watch on the big screen.

Porky’s would have been fun in the theater.

interstellar in IMAX
I will never watch movies like interstellar, Fury Road, BR2049 on a normal set up. Seeing them in IMAX on the big film is the only way to get the full effect of what the creators were trying to express.
I honestly feel bad for people who missed the opportunity.

Waterworld
I'm not sure you could pay me to watch that ever again.

Interstellar. For some reason I didn't go in theaters and saw it at home on a bedroom TV.

John Carter. Everyone said it sucked, then I liked it when I finally got around to watching it on cable.

I was ten when Jurassic Park was in theaters.
Ten year old me not seeing it then is one of my parents' greatest failures.

It was. Trust me.

Avatar is legit. One of the biggest differences from big to small screen.
Any movie shot in 2:35:1 and up suffers significantly at home also.

I would say the original Star Wars is one I would have liked to see in theaters.

Saw it when I was 8 with my dad, who was divorced to my mom for 3 years.
I was so scared shitless that I cried when I got home asking if a knife could really go through your skull (not realizing at that age the knife went through the base of the skull) during car scene and mop up duty by Pesci. My mom knew then something was up and I ratted my dad out like he was a school teacher.

As GetCocky11 pointed out, it will be in theaters this Sunday and Wednesday.
