Fittest on Earth on Netflix, it's an in depth look at a Cross Fit games, think there are a couple variations of it during different years as well.

You may like:
Fullsturker (YouTube)

It was filmed by the Rogue Fitness guys and is about the history of stone lifting in Iceland.

Tim’s Vermeer - a guy goes all out to recreate a famous Vermeer painting

The premise of this is just entirely different than anything else that has been done. The guy had never painted before, at all. I believe Penn and Teller were involved with it somehow.

“Shut up, little man!”

About to elderly male roommates who were audio recorded by younger neighbors for years, and the aftermath. Great.

I watched The Last Blockbuster on Netflix on Sunday and had a blast. Got a chance to explain the concept of a video store to my nine year old.

They will never understand. They will never know the joy of walking through the aisles in wonderment at all the movies and not being able to make up your mind. They will never know the disappointment of mistakenly being given Double Dragon when you wanted Double Dribble just to be pleasantly surprised and end up loving the game.

and

Going Clear (Scientology doc on HBO)

don't know if these are lesser known

They are not, but they are excellent docs.

I just watched one this weekend (on Prime, I think. Could be wrong), but it is about Richard Turner who is a "card mechanic". He's basically and up-close magician who shows how card sharks could and do cheat. The kicker is...well...***spoiler***

***Stop Scrolling***

He is blind...

The doc is called "Dealt".

The Last Blockbuster

Not the greatest documentary or most informative I’ve ever watched, but it was a blast of nostalgia and cool to see the people running the last one up close.

One of my all time favorites is One Day In September. It’s about the 1972 Munich Massacre.

YouTube series about what happened to Eric Weinstein @ Evergreen College is fairly eye opening and telling..

This was excellent. Funny thing was Weinstein is a liberal and fought for women’s rights while in the Ivy League. He and his wife left the East Coast to go to that shite hole university. All he did was say it wasn’t right to ban a race from the campus for a day and realized real quick how dangerous the living creature he helped create is.

It was amazing how the mob turned on him and the president absolutely handed them his own balls although he didn’t have any to begin with.

They actually have a pretty interesting podcast now.

Echo in the Canyon is a good music documentary.

Pururambo

Fantastic documentary about tribes in Papua New Guinea that have never had contact with the outside world. They have never left the Stone Age and have never seen a white person until this documentary.
