Do yourself a favor and ignore the temptation to watch season 2. It's got a big-name cast but it was truly awful.

Season 2 story was better than Season 3. Season 3 acting was way better than Season 2 though. But neither compare to S1.

Season 1 had a lot of noticeable places in it. The green house was off River Rd in Laplace. Road by it one time and got a lot of looks

The scene to end the episode right before that episode when he is telling the cops about them coming over the hill and seeing the dude with the mask on... "and like a lot of dreams, there's a monster at the end of it." Legit gives me chills each time I watch it.

You mean, you finished True Detective.
There are no other seasons. And yes, it was amazing. The ending is a little meh, but the rest of it makes up for the small miss.
I've easily watched it 10 times.

Surprised so many hated Season 3. The acting alone with Ali and Dorf was brilliant. It got back to what made Season 1 so great: the relationship between the two detectives. Season 2 was horrible and doesn't belong in the same universe as 1 and 3.
