I think this season will end with a very similar hospital scene reminiscent of season 1. The only difference will be Jodie Foster will be in the hospital for Tiger Woods disease instead of getting gutted like McConaughey.

Hated E4
The ENTIRE show is chock full of angry, alone, used up women.
Throw in the native women who seem to all be into white men, but also hate white men, and you've got The View.
The scene that did me in was when the young cop crawls into bed with his wife Christmas eve and ramdomly throws out the "just say it you never wanted to have the baby..." where in the actual frick did that come from? What's the context? All we know is she hates his cop job keeping him out late. I guess they had to throw in one more zinger at the white man for making her carry her baby to term.
Then that ending. So we have white walker meth heads in an abandoned dredge?

I dont think she sucks, i think she was massively miscast. Too lazy to look her up on IMDB but she seems to always be the aw shucks by the book cop/detective/smart person.

I guess you never saw Taxi Driver. One of the better teen female performances ever. I don't think many people consider her on the Mount Rushmore of actresses but she has had some good/iconic roles and is a good actress. It's not like she was just picked from a hat to play Clarice in Silence of the Lambs. Not everybody could have played that role as good as she did, just look to the sequel to see that.
Nobody is looking at Danvers character and thinking, "you know, if somebody other than Jodie Foster was playing her, this would be a really good character." The character sucks because it's not a greatly written character, not because Jodie Foster acting is holding it back.

That's fair. Been a long time since I've seen Taxi Driver, don't even remember her being in it. She was ok in Contact. She's just not memorable in anything to me. But I agree, the writing is just awful.

She was the child prostitute that Travis "saves." You could argue Jodi's childhood acting career > her adult career. She gets a lot of mileage out of The Accused (as she should) and The Silence of the Lambs but that is two movies.

Foster is a good actress in pretty much everything she is in. she's not bad, per se, in this show either. she jsut doesnt have much to work with, and, as others have said, she's entirely miscast. she plays sympathetic, subtle characters much better than the character of Danvers. although for the life of me, i cant think of a single actress who could pull off this Danvers character in any kind of interesting way, so frick it, might as well be Jodi Foster.
