Lethal Weapon

The sequels are watchable, but get worse as go.

What? Lethal Weapon 2 was probably better than 1. 3 was not bad, just not as good as 1 or 2.

Edit to add Lethal Weapon was not a trilogy.

I like each of the BTTF movies, but let’s face it. There’s only 1 great movie.

...and that’s Part II.

You shut your whore mouth. One & two are basically one long awesome movie.

TFA wasn't great by any means but it wasn't terrible like the other 2. It generally satisfied fans when it came out. That's why I said to an extent

Do you consider the third one "Meh"? Just curious, I thought it was enjoyable (though honestly not sure if I consider it "good" or not)

2 sucks, but I enjoyed 3. Have yet to see the one with Hemsworth, but I’m still holding out we’ll get the Jump Street and MIB crossover. That concept has gold written all over it.

oh and Tremors?

Tremors 2 is a worthy sequel. After that is when it gets sci-fi channel quality.

I was just fixing to post Pirates of the Caribbean.

The Black Pearl was a simple but fun, visually appealing and a little mysterious movie. The rest of them are just jumbled, CGI shitfests.

I'll go a little further - I think Black Pearl is a fantastic movie. Every element is damn near perfect - characters, dialog, mood, sets, costumes, makeup, soundtrack, special effects - everyone absolutely nailed it.

The others, while entertaining and occasionally inventive, were, as you put it, CGI shitfests.

I will still watch the first one from time to time, and it never fails to leave me with a smile by the closing credits. The others are, outside of a few moments, just not worth the time.

And don't get me started on #s 4 and 5

TMNT

II was entertaining, but not great. III was terrible.

The first one was damn near perfect. Close enough to the 80s that they didn’t feel bad about making it a little gritty even though it was marketed towards kids.

This. The effects were great and I found the new characters interesting. I know it was basically ANH but I thought it was a great set up for the trilogy. People lump it in with the other 2 and dislike it more now because they know the payoffs were so terrible. But as a stand alone movie I thought it was pretty good and there was a lot of hype about where it has headed.

One of my favorite movie quotes ever and I’m dead serious is from The Black Pearl

Commodore Norrington: “You are undoubtedly the worst Pirate I have ever heard of”

Jack Sparrow: “Ah, but you have heard of me....”

1 is fantastic but I’ll be honest. I classify 3 as above average. 2 was a shite burger though.
