Nah. It’s 2/3. Temple being out.

We don’t talk about the 4th one.

Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade are really awesome movies. The Temple of Doom was a misstep in a lot of ways, but it had a great opening sequence (the Anything Goes performance and poisoning) and some other entertaining moments. I don't count The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull because it was just a nostalgia-driven cash grab.

For the original trilogy, two great movies and one decent movie.

Surprised that no one mentioned SuperMan with Christopher Reeves. 1st was great. 2nd was ok that was mired in controversy. 3rd and 4th were utter crap. Even Reeves hated the 3rd one and tried to get out of it but couldn’t because of the contract he signed.

Not saying that either of the other two films are bad by any means... In fact they're pretty great, but, as they've gotten further away from their releases, I find that Fellowship of the Ring is a significantly more pleasant to watch than Two Towers or Return of the King, especially the extended version, which is all I will watch anymore.

Perhaps it's the full cast being together, the presence of Sean Bean, the diversity of settings, or just the journey that culminates in the Balrog battle, but it's by far the best of the bunch now for me. I also think the lack of Gollum as a main focus helps tremendously.

The same could also be said for Star Wars. As much as people don't want to hear it, Empire Strikes Back is by far the best film of that trilogy. But the other 2 are also so good and legendary that they are not bad by any means.

Glad to see this is the first reply.

For how great a movie The Matrix was, is sequels were fricking horrible.

I almost like Next Friday better than the original. It wasn't as serious.
