The best underrated Western ever made and one that so few have heard of is Barbarosa.

Gary Busey and Willie Nelson. Magnificent movie. Pitch perfect.

Except for the fact that this is a movie list and Lonesome Dove was not a movie but rather a miniseries that aired for four nights on CBS back in 1989.

With all the lists that have Tombstone, Silverado wouldn't be all that much of a stretch.

I appreciate Tombstone as one of the all time great popcorn flicks. It's story isn't blowing you away, but it has memorable characters, a few top tier acting jobs, extremely quotable, and extremely rewatchable. There's a lot to be said for that.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico is my favorite of all time. one of my favorite movies of all time in general, but I have watched Tombstone probably 5x as many times as I have OUATIM. It's just a fun movie that gets hated on an oddly amount.

Casey Afflec was a revelation in this one.

I have a hard time watching a movie and liking him because of his portrayal of Robert Ford.

That’s to say, he did such a good job being despicable and unlikable that it has stuck with me.

And if you’ve never read the book, please do.
