Is this good? Feel like it might be interesting. My wife has been watching too much 911 lately and I'm tired of it.

Lol - asking if a top ten consensus, greatest show of all time is good.

Yes, enjoy!

It’s a little dated because of technology but the show is amazing. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

Nah it's terrible. Worst show I've ever seen.

Haha yeah. It’s great.

Season 1 starts slow and there’s a bunch of beeper electronics but stick with it. It takes off after an undercover operation goes terribly wrong

Im on my second watch through of the Wire. Its been about 15 years since Ive first watched it. I loved it then.
I like even more now. The second watch through you catch all the details you missed the first time. Its probably the best show on TV.

Acting is great, story development is great, pace is great and cinematography really just brings it all together.

The greatest show ever... watched it on its original run and a couple times since... with many of the cast members dying recently, think its time to go again...

I don't wanna hype it up for you so it doesn't live up to your expectations but

Yes it's probably the greatest show of all time. Even if you don't agree it will still be considered one of the goats

It’s my #1 of all time. Just know that each season focuses on a different aspect of Baltimore, and youre set.

Watching it now, the technology does feel a bit dated, as someone mentioned. But it still very much works and doesn’t detract from the quality of the show. I watched it for the first time about 12 years ago and even with dated tech it was amazing.

But it is excellent, top-tier television. 100%. I’ve been itching for a rewatch lately (seen it 3 or 4 times in full now).

I am just about to wrap up the series. Heard great things about it for years….and the show still exceeded my expectations.

IMO, there is zero issue with the technology because it’s a period piece.

The only downside to the show is that it makes me want to drink a lot of Jameson.

Tried to start it three time and couldn't get through the fist episode.

Are excellent wine pairings at a Michelin Star restaurant a downside?

Hell no. Lean into it.

Jameson is absolutely a recommended pairing with The Wire.

Let us know how she liked it. These two shows are a bit different even though they tackle the same subject matter.
