I think Lori had a thing for Shane lone before Rick got shot and couldn't wait to hit it. Shane was the single one who was kind of a man ho and she wanted a piece.
Yep. She probably heard stories from other women about how Shane beast fricked them. So for Lori, curiosity killed the cat...both literally and figuratively.

I didn't know for sure if she drank it or not.....but that would definitely explain why andrea went from skeptic to sunny disposition so quickly and michonne did not

I am almost certain she did. And I wonder what weird relationship the governor has with that creepy scientist dude. If he is so worried about keeping control and being in charge, why does he value the other dudes opinion so much?

Tthe amount of ammo and gasoline that they use is ridiculous. SELA was out of gas after Katrina, no chance it lasts like this in the apocalypse.

also, from the Governor's perspective, he may not know about the three big hordes that Rick's group encountered. Since Rick and them were on the move for 8 months and the Governor's town has been stationary. They may never have faced them.
were there three or was it the same one moving to different locales?

The show needs a lone-wolf good guy, and Michonne could have been it.
It's not over yet.

Ammo I can understand, but if a ZA were to really happen, where most of the population went from normal to dead (and then undead

Driving old Suburbans that get 6 miles to the gallon...I'm looking at you Rick...is another head scratcher.

He's really smart, but isn't a threat to the governor's power. And there's a possibility of some prior relationship between the too
And has it been talked about how badass Merle's bayonet hand is?

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense. You'd have to hunt down any top-gas-mileage vehicles you could find. At least they seem to use one though.

The gov said that the helper guy believed that there was something of the original person still in the brain. I think that its actually the gov who believes this and he is trying to re-resurrect his family who has been turned into zombies. So, the helper, being the only scientist (at least the only one we have seen so far) in the community, is more valuable to the gov than any amount of supplies

First off let me preface this by saying I love the Walking Dead. But we are mostly southerners obviously but I discovered the show and then went back to the comic books. Now people are going to respond "its fiction" but good fiction at least tries to shadow reality. I don't know if its Kirkman, Darabont, Mazzara, Hurd, or the writers but they need to get someone on the show running staff that is actually Southern. They really don't portray a rural west georgia (which is just like east alabama) well.
First of all guns are way too scarce in the show. I know within 20 miles in any direction there are 4 Walmarts, 2 Kmarts, an Academy Sports, a Gander Mountain (sporting goods store), 5 gun stores, 10 gun smiths, 3 gun ranges, and over 2 dozen pawn shops. And I am in the middle of nowhere rural north Alabama. Lack of ammo shouldn't be a realistic worry, same with food. I personally own 2 AR's, 1 30-06, a Mini 14, 5 shotguns, 4 blackpowder, and 3 handguns and that isn't a big gun collection.
Remember the Walmarts and Kmarts, add in 3 dozen grocery stores and too to count convenience stores. And this is just retail, every home is going to have food and guns in it. The story should end with the group driving 10 miles to the Newnan GA walmart and living the rest of their life like kings. Guns clothing, goods, tons of canned goods. Surviving in a zombie Apocalypse shouldn't be that hard, not for rural or suburban Southerners. Especially since the world they display in the show is practically deserted.

because all of those places would not have been raided

Raiding doesn't mean it disappears. If there really are as few people not turned as Rick and them believe then there should be guns lying everywhere.

Does anybody know if they will be re-showing last night's episode before next Sunday? I made the mistake of watching the Saint's game for the first showing last night and conked out before the 2nd showing.
(And for those wondering, spoilers don't bother me so I don't have a problem being in this thread before I've seen the episode).

Who else thinks the Gov is going to try repopulating and that's why he doesn't want all the extra men around?
Posted on 10/29/12 at 5:58 pm to HeadSlash
I havent seen anyone else mention, but the Governor drank the tea as well. If it was some sort of controlling substance, why would he drink it?
Posted on 10/29/12 at 6:36 pm to BCLA
The tea has me baffled. It's clearly not some controlling substance, since Governor and his lab tech willingly drink it. People saying Andrea looked all positive after drinking it are a bit off. She's positive and happy because she thinks they finally found someplace safe and perfect. Michonne is obviously not buying it.
Is it made from walkers somehow? Possibly. They looked pretty damn nervous when Andrea took a sip, as if waiting for her to spit it out. But how could they mask the taste of corpse? Makes no sense.
So my random guess is it's something the believe gives them immunity to the virus? That's my best guess.
