So what’s the justification for everyone else? Is every lineman chasing 3 million dollar bags ?
I was addressing the specific LH question.
You’re asking a question about an ongoing process with the mindset that LK and his staff don’t have specific plan in place, targets in mind.

s it the new Oline coach or something else ?
Perhaps it’s the 3 million dollar price tag Heard had. That’s obscene for an Oline of his ability.

Guess we’re gonna have to do this explanation thing for awhile….
In the modern NIL era teams are going to more and more be filling near entire rosters each post season. You have a pot of NIL funds to do this. You cannot refill that many roster spots paying top dollar to every player you get. Out of necessity coaches will have to find a certain amount of kids from smaller schools demanding less money who they think can develop and fill needs. We should all get used to this for the foreseeable future.

He cant run block at all. Sound like something we know
So we celebrate hiring one of the best coaches in all of college football at recognizing and developing hidden talent then criticize him when he starts bringing some of these guys in.
Ok.

We had a slow start compared to some other schools, that's an objective fact dip shite.
That depends on if you view the process as a sprint or a distance race.

They’re trending up after losing the best coach in their programs history
They are currently living in the narrative that Golding and the coaches who stayed are the best coaches in their history. Circle the wagons mentality. Their decisions, many of their players decisions, their fans, most of the media- all are currently espousing this.
Not surprising if some portal players get swept up into that- especially if they’re putting their money behind that narrative.

Not in this era. You pay a guy for one year and load up to win. You don’t strategize for more than one year. Is what it is currently. Pay the bill.
re: Who are we getting for our OL?

Got it. I’m sending out Morse code message to coaching staff now.

3 of the top 10 OL are our guys
Then get some of the other 7. My gosh, these dudes think they walk on water when they’re stuck in mud.
Flipping Johnson as the blocking running back. Seriously?!

So you started the CS marathon? Nice work.
So you want O in a family’s living room telling a kid’s parents he’s gonna take care of their son while at LSU?
That’s a hard pass for me.
That’s a hard pass for me.
That crew literally just took a stand against the greatest college football coach of all time and said, All that’s good Nick, but let us tell you how this works….dudes ain’t never coached a middle school game. Morons.

LSU should steer clear of this kid
“Steer clear” and “throw 12 million at” are not quite the same.
I’d think announcement comes then OM has to decide their next move.
If they allow him to coach it’s after official release
