Glad to hear you enjoyed Dick's. Was at all 4 shows and Fri/Sat were my favorite. That lot scene was insane this year

South Park has been a huge part of my life growing up. It first aired when I was in 4th grade and I never missed an episode since. Luckily, my parents assumed it was a normal cartoon show

They did a poor job advertising the concert. From what I remember, they announced it on Comedy Central and the lotto was a couple days later. I got super lucky and drew 2 through the lotto. It sold out instantly and apparently tickets were really hard to find.

With as much fun as Trey, Matt, Primus and Ween had, I'm hopeful that they'll do it again for the 30th anniversary. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to. Really glad Comedy Central filmed it so that everyone will be able to enjoy the concert.
I went last night. Incredible experience being a giant South Park and Ween fan. Had no idea what to expect going into the show, and definitely did not expect to see a collaboration of all 3 bands. You could tell Trey was living out his dream of being in a band. They all did a great job rehearsing bc every song was done so well.

The South Park cast & crew was in the reserved seating, and families were close to stage. Great energy all around. And apparently Matt is a huge Rush fan. Trey was thanking Matt for 25 years, and surprised him by bringing out Rush. Hard to list highlights, but Uncle fricka, Blame Canada, On a Colorado Farm, Gay Fish, Merry fricking Christmas and Lemmiwinks to name a few. Looking forward to watching it again on Comedy Central on Saturday.

I caught their 3 day run over Halloween. Those boys are on fire right now. Very jealous
quote:

There was an episode of Rescue 911 where a boy got trapped on an escalator and he was slowly being suffocated. It was like a jacket he had on got sucked into the machinery or something.

That shite always stuck with me.
That episode messed me up as a kid! He almost suffocated and I think he ended up breaking his arm

Too many great songs to dub one "The Greatest."

Very overplayed song, but "All You Need is Love" comes to mind. I love that it only took one take record: All You Need is Love

Black market is not cheaper

I pay $100 including tax for an ounce of top shelf on recreational appreciation day. Most dispensaries have RAD day once a month. Even cheaper if you have a med card.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. ?? And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
Lived in cities my whole life and visited many. Been in Denver the past 6 years. It's not that great either.
So much insecurity in this thread

Cities are pretty terrible in general
