The flashbacks to the death of her parents and her arrival at Alexandria could have definitely left out a period of time when she was with the wolves.

The only thing that throws off this theory is the actress playing Enid said on TTD that she had only been by herself for about 1 week before finding Alexandria. That would have been a very short amount of time for her to get into the wolves group.

No. Not in my opinion. The wolves found out about the details of Alexandria from Aaron's bag that he dropped when he and Daryl were nearly caught on their run. The photos- the maps- info- it was all in the bag. No reason to show this if Enid was their source.

Enid's reference to "we" and the walls were about her and Carl's ability to go in and out without detection. He reasons now for disappearing have to do with her personal code of "just survive somehow". Getting close to people makes it hard to survive in her mindset. That's been her issue all along. It's why she leaves to go wander. It's why she's hesitant to get close to Carl. It's not because she's a Wolf. Every wolf is clearly marked.

I agree with that, except that I'm not sure every single wolf was marked...and if they were using her as a plant, they obviously wouldn't have marked her. But I do think she meant she and Carl as "we," and was GingTFO because she didn't want to get attached and shite hitting the fan was a perfect time to peace out.

There is so much to talk about in this episode.

Deana and her son were totally cowards leaving others to fight their battles. With some BS excuse about not wanting to be another person to be protected. And why the hell weren't more people in the town armed?

The Wolves were a pretty piss poor fighting force. No guns, no real plan of attack, almost completely feral. Has to be just a cannon fodder type 1st wave. They were pretty much taken out by Carol with just a little bit of help from Carl and maybe Maggie and Rosita and some hinderance from Morgan.

I do wish they would use a little more subtlety on characters like Morgan & Carol who are used to demonstrate different sides of an issue. They border on cartoonish sometimes.

They had not started to initiate the new rule yet. Rick only mentioned it to her a day or two before.

All of which had guns, training, and experience fighting groups/walkers and all kinds of shite.

When she crawled into the truck to hide, my first thought was "Typical politician."

Absolutely. It's very possible that there are "brainier" leaders we just haven't seen yet. The evil genius behind the truck traps set that nearly got Aaron and Daryl-complete with remote control for lights and music to get the walkers to return- didn't seem like the work of the barbarians that entered Alexandria. Maybe we'll see. Odd they could rig all that up with remote control but can't scavage proper weapons.

They didnt seem to care about using guns. I think they used blades/knives because they enjoyed it.

Definitely an element of that. However, the one Wolf sure picked up the gun laying in the street on his way out, very quickly. Also, the one that tried to take out Morgan in the woods had a gun pulled on him just no bullets. And I might add that we know that cause "passive" Morgan took the gun from him and tried to shoot him with no results. So that sort of goes against Morgan's character .....but anyway......

While I agree that they seem to like the close, personal kills that the blades/knives give, keep in mind that last season when the two wolves met up with Morgan, one had a gun that Morgan figured out was empty. So it appears that they just haven't been effectively scavenging for ammo.

He only did after morgan mentioned something about coming after them. Initially he was going to leave without it.

The last time they showed her face, when she was sitting in the truck, you could see how pissed she was becoming at realizing her own weakness when confronted with the true reality outside the walls. While Reg's death may have been an exclamation point on how the world has changed and how unready they were for it, this invasion bolded, italicized and underlined it.

I liked how the episode jumped from "I bet Carol is about to go out and say something to the chick smoking" to "OH frick!!" in .3 seconds. For me this was one of the better episodes of the entire series.

I agree, and I was all over the "Enid is a plan" train from last season. It's all speculation though, we shall see.

Really great episode.

This was a question...that was a gun he picked up correct? One from Alexandria?

I think the Wolves are either one of two things:
1. They are what they seem and just a bunch of blood thirsty roamers, almost like the Mongols of old or the barbaric tribes that took down Rome.

2. This was the first wave of of a much more organized and larger group. Obviously they are not all imbeciles given what they did to the trucks and storage.

One last comment; are the trucks and quarry walkers connected? Seems like they must have known to strike when the big bosses were gone.

I think that is a pretty safe assumption given that they had the photos. No doubt they were scouting out the community.

I still want to know what the wolf meant when he said "you're not supposed to be here" right before Carol smoked him.

Was he referring to Morgan because Morgan was herding the quarry zombies?

Was he referring to Carol because she wasn't acting like a sheep?

Or both.

either way it indicates that the wolves were definitely watching Alexandria and may have had a plant in the ASZ.

I am going with both. They somehow thought Carol was like the rest of them still inside and that Morgan was gone.

I think they have adopted some sort of philosophy that embraces the chaos of their world. In such a mindset the level of order (read: civilization) within Alexandria shouldn't be able to exist. If I'm right it would give a deeper meaning to the final scene with Carol sitting there rubbing the W off of her forehead then seeing the A (very similar to the symbol for anarchy) that the young boy had left on her railing.

That's because she killed one of them, took their clothes, covered most of her face and drew a W on her forehead with blood. She purposely disguised herself as one of them and they bought it.
