The original, 1978 Halloween in a theatre of scared, insane teenagers.

In retrospect, it's probably the best one shot of a movie in my life.

Jaws in a theatre compares but I felt younger then. Weird.

Whenever I see The Ring all I can think of is how hard Id kick that black haired bitch in the face if she came crawling out of my TV.

I never really was affected that much by horror movies, but I'll be damned if The Grudge didn't scare the shite out of me. That movie just gets me every time.

Jaws, ghosts, aliens, boogie man etc are not real. Have you ever been floating on a raft in the surf? Are you telling me the thought of Jaws doesn't cross your mind.

The exorcist is probably the scariest movie I’ve seen although a lesser known movie called “It’s Alive” with the baby with the long claws was scary too.

I also grew up as a swimmer so Jaws also had a different meaning for me.

Also I was like 8 when my family took me to see blair witch project which I couldn't sit to watch more than 30 minutes before I cried to leave.

I was a senior on high school and this movie fricked me up.

Was on a date with a girl who was 4'10" and she was tapping my arm saying it's ok.

I was like "No. It's not. Why would you go into that house?"

Anybody who thinks this movie isn't scary has either never been camping or never been lost.

Because it felt real.

You could be in a pool and someone could say "Look out for Jaws."

You'd be like, "Haha...I'm just gonna over swim to where my feet touch."

Silence of the Lambs. I saw it for the first time around 2002, when I was 21. This was at the height of the serial killer targeting college-aged women in BR, before Derrick Todd Lee had been identified. When the movie was over, I distinctly remember thinking I never wanted to leave my house again. It was scarring.

So you think jack was mentally ill?

That’s why he appeared in the old picture on wall at the end as having always been caretaker?

The Shining was probably the one for me.

When I was little I used to love the reruns of The Twilight Zone. The one episode Nightmare at 20,000 feet with William Shatner and the gremlin on the wing ensures I never sit by the wing on a plane.

Agree with you. The Exorcist had a spirit getting the best of that first preist. There went my safe space.

And the Ring was messed up too - and I watched it at about Midnight alone on the couch.

But those were honestly more straightforward and less errie than Kairo (Pulse - American version is a piece of crap)- I've never seen such an atmosphere in a movie where it's like you couldn't breathe but didn't know what the frick was going on and why you were scared.

Just an ominous scary creepiness that is prevalent in the entire film and is void of jump scares and killers.

Trailer - before the Grudge and The Ring there was Pulse
