Santos is a giant bitch and it seems like she’s gonna try to accuse Langdon of stealing the Ativan
Bold strategy since she’s been there for 6 hours against a 3rd year resident .
I dont really understand the direction that storyline is headed. Just seems like a really odd and unrealistic situation even compared to whats happening in an ER.
Watching episodes like that while having a kid just fricks you up.

The little girl that drowned after she saved her sister. That was an ER level devastating revelation
Between that and the honor walk for the teenage organ donor this episode had me teary eyed.

Meh... it wasn't true... at all. Is there some "woke" in it? Yeah, but they in no way push it or hit you over the head with it. It's pretty lowkey considering what it could be. I in no way agree whatsoever with the abortion segment... not gonna make me tap out on the show, though. I am capable of disagreeing with it and still enjoying the rest of the show.
The trans thing? "It's MS... so and so." and "Looks like there was a misgendering in your file. I fixed it." That was literally all that was made of that... not an issue whatsoever so far as making it a "woke thing."
And the "African queen" comment... that's so stupid it doesn't even deserve a response other than to be called stupid.
Anyways... this most recent episode got me and my wife all in the feels. Heartbreaking.

They're in a large city. It's going to have "woke" stuff more than Broussard or wherever he's from

Yeah.
If it were actually "woke", then the chief wouldn't be Noah Wyle, but would be a woman and the other lead doctor would be a tranny. There'd be a few gay folks as well.
This has some social stuff, but if far from "woke".
As I said, the only thing so far I'd change is the outcome of the abortion storyline. Have the kid's mind changed by the mother rather than the other way around. But I'm very much pro life.
As an aside... interesting that The Pitt last week had the doctor confronting the child molester and Doc on Fox this week had the same sort of situation but with a rapist. Coincidental.

Actually if the person said , look a proud white man doctor, instead of , look a proud African queen , that would be just as bad. And lying about something to kill a fetus is fricking horrible.

On that we agree.

Real life. That’s called real life. Not “woke”.

This show is devastatingly good. The acting is terrific, especially from the secondary characters.

Just got around to watching this week’s episode. Jesus that was TOUGH
overall the show is excellently written and shot. I’ve really enjoyed it.

Great show and extremely binge worthy. Stayed up til 4am this weekend and couldn't turn it off. Never watched ER back in the day, was bit too young.
I worked in surgery man years ago, and they absolutely nail the overall feel of the ER folks.
Also have a fam member who worked trauma surgery in the largest hospital in downtown Pitt. Was hell on earth, and their stories line up with this show 100%. Overcrowded, understaffed, etc.
The only thing I wish they'd add in is the heavy union BS hospitals in that area deal with all the time.

I hope the lawsuit drama doesn't have a negative effect on S2. Apparently this was originally gonna be an ER sequel but the creators and Noah Wyle didn't wanna pay Michael Crichton's estate so they just moved it to another location with new characters.

That was an amazingly emotional episode. I’m thinking this is one of the best shows on right now.

Another good episode
Langdon went off on Santos.
Then That ending….im glad the assault wasn’t much more vicious and violent although the punch was bad enough … this show is relentless and from the preview, next week is just as tough and intense

I was thinking that we'd get a breather after the previous episode, and get something with a semi-happy ending. Then we get knocked out.
My prediction is that fricker will have his heart attack and be wheeled into the ER to be saved by those that hate him.

Ending was a bit surprising. I figured he'd go after one of the non white folks.
Could have done without the fat lady tits.
Langdon can be a dick but Santos definitely needed to be put in check.
a lot of power tripping from the top down.

Maybe it's me, I've watched the three episodes and maybe I missed the "woke" moments while I was just enjoying the show. I like that it feels authentic
The whining about "Pay them a livable wage" for nurses is extreme BS. Nurses drive Maseratis at my hospital. They run EVERYTHING. Everything other than CFO is an RN. When every other position in the hospital has restrictions on time/pay they will be getting 30K retention bonuses and unlimited overtime.
