Cancelled. Skipped. Does it really matter the phrasing?
Is this a serious question?
They literally didn't do them out of confidence in the film not cancelling them because they were afraid to show it. Which the article you linked shows.

Movie influencers are retarded as a concept. Pure rage bait losers. On both sides.

Industry shills are more controllable & carry more weight within the industry. Which is who this movie is for, more than anything. Hence the ridiculous casting choices.

They’re also competing with influencers now so they’re even more shilly.

Ok we don't like the casting.
So what?
Does that mean the movie can't be good and entertaining?
Nah, but it reduces the odds. Trailers and all the pre-release info exist to inform people about the film, don't they? If there are multiple aspects of the film that people don't like then their skepticism about the overall film is logical. It doesn't mean they're correct but these things are indicators. A lot of little things added up to Supergirl looking sorta bad, and turns out it's sorta bad.
Seriously, if Ellen Page was playing Odysseus would you still expect it to be good? Put enough "well, I don't like that" pieces of the puzzle out there and some people won't expect to like the movie. That seems rational to me. It's as rational as the people who think Nolan's skill will override the things they've seen they didn't care for. Both groups are basing their opinions on patterns they've personally observed.
Now I don't get the "I'll never watch this because it will suck" folks, but then I also don't get people getting peeved because a movie is being discussed on a forum dedicated to discussing movies.

Don't expect anything less from a news corporation that had to shell out $700 million dollars for lying their asses off

What was the lie again?

Which news corporation should we listen to?

I don't understand why they quote random twitter users in articles...and they do it often. Who the hell cares what some rando on twitter, likely a bot, posts about anything?
You don't know why they do this? Has your head been buried in the sand for
20 years? They have a political and cultural agenda to run, same as MSNBC. Every news story and the way that they present it is driven by these agendas.

I wasn't sure if it was the covid hoax or the 2020 was a totally fair election hoax.
FOX played ball, I get it. Don't go against the machine.

Bad news for these guys. My wife and I are going to see this movie when it opens.

The sheer irony of this post
Regardless we're getting off track here, the studio didn't cancel anything they never scheduled them which is a big difference. Time will tell if the movie is good which knowing Nolan it probably will be
The same idiots here stomping their feet better be getting upset over the white washed cast the new Passion of the Christ movie

Thought that's pretty much exactly what I said, but go on.

What are you even talking about? First, that was from 2004. Before the wokeification of Hollywood. Second, it was done in Aramaic, Hebrew and Latin, holding true to the historical authenticity. Nolan is tossing ALL of that to the wind, for a modern, feminist version.
And it's laughable for anyone to call it 'white washing' when talking about the race and gender swaps going on in The Odyssey. Please.

Haven't seen it so can't say from understanding Milly was solid but the villain was underwhelming has a 75% fan score on RT

You haven't seen The Odyssey either. Nobody here has to my knowledge, but saying "I think the movie will be great" is fine but saying "I think the movie will suck" means you're some sort of troll.
I think movie discussions have a lot of this and its inverse:
