Greece's total box office in 2009 was $142 million, their highest this century, and the top grossing film that year there was Avatar. But Avatar grossed $14 million in Greece, not $142 million.

From what I understand its even less than that, and Ellen Page is even less than that. They amount to extended cameos
Which of course means two opposite things:
In what universe was the juice worth the squeeze for Nolan to do these stunts in small roles? Just stupid to even invite the controversy
and
Its also a bit much ado about nothing considering the limited screentime

Lupita is a good actress. Maybe she tested really well? This one has never bothered me. The Page casting is more of a headscratcher for me

Everything that has come out by people that have actually seen the movie makes all these melts pretty funny. Rioting over two people that have probably less than 10 minutes screen time combined in a three hour movie.
Both castings were dumb. But the outrage was pretty dumb by people that clearly have never read the book and just assumed Helen of Troy was like a star of the book/movie.

Pre-release reviews don’t matter because they’re limited to critics and critics love slop.
