Dude if the show gets you this upset just quit watching maybe? I have liked it for the most part although I share what I think is the common opinion, they opened strong and have gone down hill.

Heroin, Opium, Oxy some kind of opiate.

From a purely legal standpoint, this show is basically a pile of sloppy baby poop. Nothing about this show is even close to how it would really go down, except the fact that you can meet with your client in the pen and right before trial.
Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but during one of the courtroom scenes, I thought we were about to devote time to voir dire, then bam! we've got a jury. I was working as I watched so maybe I missed something, but the trial lead up seemed amusingly disconnected.

Did they seriously need to add the blow job jail cell scene??

No they completely skipped over jury selection. I was confused as well since they were talking about it at the bar in one of the prior scenes.

I hope to god the jury selection scene wasn't meant to introduce us to a sexual relationship between stone and Chandra

So my current guess is that the stepfather paid someone to kill his step daughter.
They will realize Nasir is innocent but Freddy will leave Riker's and he will get stabbed to death before being released.

Wouldn't bother me in the least. While I agree with many others that is good (just that, good) TV, it's not great. And I think what makes it lack, besides some clearly bad writing, is the lack of emotional connection with really any character. I seriously couldn't care less if any single character in this story died next week. There's not a one that would bother me. To me, that's a problem.
Folks have brought up The Wire, and David Simon. I think where the Wire was so sucecssful (besides great writing) was the emotional connection you had with the characters.

The show doesn't get me upset at all. I don't think it's very good but I only have to watch 2 more episodes and it's something to do with the wife on a Sunday night before bed.
What's annoying is being told that I don't get it or I'm missing the point. I see the point, it's just kinda dumb.

The show had been teetering on the edge for awhile, but it finally jumped the shark last night. Have the creators ever even studied a murder trial? There were so many issues and inconsistencies I don't even know where to start. The worst of all was that it wasn't until episode 6 where any character in the show wondered why this girl lived in such an expensive place in Manhattan and decided to look into it. Are you kidding me?

My prediction is Nasir commits a violent act in prison and is incarcerated for that

And what's crazy is the emotional connection with Nasir after episode 1 was huge. That was such a powerful episode but since then week by week that emotional connection has withered away.

No crack is smokeable in direct heat, that was indirect heat like how you smoke heroin or cocaine or meth.

Lot of hard drug smoking experts up in here.

Oh yeah forgot about stone and the chick hooking up
That would be jumping the shark. Can't believe they went there

Stone (or anyone for that matter) waiting so long to inquire into how a 20something drug addict lives in a multimillion dollar home is poor writing
Agreed

Stone waiting so long to follow up on the stepdad is even worse writing
Impossible not to agree.

No follow up on Duane reade blows my mind
I'll hold my opinion on this. The defense is not going to put all of its cards on the table during an opening statement. Could be a torpedo used at some point in the trial to create "reasonable doubt" as to Naz's guilt. The way the writers have handled most things thus far I might be giving them more credit than they deserve!

I'm glad the story has finally moved forward after going almost nowhere in episodes 2-5. Hopefully we can finally move on from the eczema story line.
Can we get an Amen to that!!!

But they didn't even address it. You would think at a minimum it would be a conversation between Stones and Chandra
