That was the CPA arguing with the stepdad. What if he knew the stepdad would get everything if Andrea was dead and was in on it for a share of what the stepdad got in return. Maybe that's why he was willing to talk off the record about that.

We know that. What he was saying was why did he wait until now to start looking into the step dads story...

You're missing the point.

The point is why the frick did he record them arguing and then wait an undetermined amount of time to look into it? The trial is already underway.

If it interested him enough to record it, why just sit on it forever?

Oh I know because the show needs more BBC shots and eczema.

I don't mind that he started smoking opium in jail, I'd probably do the same.

The tats seem kinda silly

Stone (or anyone for that matter) waiting so long to inquire into how a 20something drug addict lives in a multimillion dollar home is poor writing

Stone waiting so long to follow up on the stepdad is even worse writing

No follow up on Duane reade blows my mind

I'm glad the story has finally moved forward after going almost nowhere in episodes 2-5. Hopefully we can finally move on from the eczema story line.

This should have been a 4 hour show, not 8.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but jeez man if it's got you this worked up just quit watching it, it's not worth getting so worked up over.

I guess they are assuming he killed her while he was naked, and showered up after. But, surely they could confirm that via trace blood in the drains or luminol tests for a trail leading to the shower. Of course, my investigative credentials are completely based on watching television. Maybe this show is also a thumb-in-the-eye to the CSI shows. They are running out of thumbs.

The last few episodes Naz keeps having a very brief flashback of what it seems to be like hanging hooks or wind chimes...
maybe a dumb question but what is that referring to? I assumed that it was in Andrea's house episode 1.

maybe it has something to do with the deer mount they focused on half a million times.

Yeah between all the plot holes and all the wasted time on stones feet, this show has gone from outstanding to good.

I enjoy it, but it could have been done in 5-6 episodes.

I'd love a box spinoff about his life as a NY detective

don't get me wrong, it's better than a lot of shite out there. but it doesn't deserve the heat it's generating.

a show like this needs to make you care about the characters and they either don't focus enough on some of them to do that or the characters are just unlikeable.

The way Freddy reacted to the first hit he took in the opening scene made it look like opium to me.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head here.

The writing is extremely sloppy and I honestly usually don't notice this kind of stuff.

It has been blatantly terrible in some aspects when it comes to crime investigation on both the side of the detectives/state and his Nazir's own council.

This really is the most unforgivable thing so far. You have new evidence to the fact that Bodie was not by himself as he testified. Then you find out that the guy he was with has been involved in several stabbings in the past. How would you not follow up on this with Box?

"juries don't come anywhere close to upholding burdens of proof", it was my experience that juries tend to require less than "reasonable doubt" to acquit...it's human nature. Everyone thinks they know how they'll react if on a jury involving a 1st or 2nd degree murder charge, but you don't. When it's all said and done, jurors are more apt to acquit than convict...they don't want to handle the possibility that the person was innocent.

I think this is frequently true with high profile, media-driven crimes/trials, but that the complete opposite tends to happen in run of the mill violent crime trials. I think it is even more egregious in lower profile violent crime and non-violent offenses.

From a purely legal standpoint, this show is basically a pile of sloppy baby poop. Nothing about this show is even close to how it would really go down, except the fact that you can meet with your client in the pen and right before trial.

Everything else is so bad, it's almost hard for me to watch it. But, I do. I still think the show is meh.
